1st Sunday of the year

I am grateful to God to witness the first Sunday in 2022. Today is Thanksgiving Sunday in my church but also came with other events. A new pastor was also installed to take over the mantle from the previous pastor who was transferred to another town. It was a mixed feeling of happiness and sadness. We're already comfortable and intimate with the previous pastor that it saddens our hearts to be apart. Happy because the new pastor has resumed to office today.
The new watchword for this year was announced also and the minister that preached talked about unity in the church. He admonished the members of the church , church groups, board of elders to work together as a team to support the new pastor so that he can have Successful tenure.
After church, I took a nap to rest from the stress of cooking and preparation for the new year. I wish my friends a fruitful Sunday through out the year! a
