A wonderful and touching feeling.

Today is the most holy and joyful day of the week, Friday. Friday is of immense importance to every Muslim. My experience of offering Friday prayers today was different and quite wonderful. Which I couldn't help but share with you.
Like every week, today too I left a little early to offer Friday prayers at the local mosque. But when I got to the mosque, I saw an unprecedented scene. Every floor, balcony, and row inside the mosque was already filled to the brim with worshippers. There was no space left to hold a prayer. Hundreds of religious people gathered to pray together. Unable to find a place inside, many of us ended up on the roof of the mosque, unable to find any other way.

As soon as I stepped onto the roof of the mosque, my mind was filled with a different kind of peace. The atmosphere of praying under the open sky, amidst the gentle breeze, was completely different. I went up to the roof and captured a few moments, which you can see in the picture. The picture shows people of all ages lined up to pray on the beautiful tiled roof next to the green dome and minaret of the mosque.

As we listened to the sermon under the open sky and later when we all fell into prostration together, a strange spiritual feeling was working in my mind. The view of the surrounding city from above and the vastness of the blue sky above my head further increased my devotion to the Creator. Even in the intense heat, the gentle breeze seemed to bring a sense of peace. This wonderful experience today will remain etched in my mind for a long time. It is truly heartwarming to see so many people come to the house of God despite all the hardships.
