200 Escudo Portugal…
Afternoon everyone ……
I just came across this coin the other day. It was in one of my drawers to my desk. I don’t remember even buying it, let alone putting it in the drawer.
The capsule it is in currently is in rough shape so I apologize for the scruffy look. It’s an old sized coin for me so I don’t have a replacement air-tite for it.
Any how….
The coin is a 1995 Portugal 200 Escudos coin. It looks proof strike to me by the cameo appearance.

What a coincidence, I am playing Civ IV right now and I am in the process of wiping the Portuguese off the face of the Earth.
It's certainly interesting what ends up in drawers and is found later. I need to start looking at Portuguese silver coins. They know how to make a nice coin with a ship on it! 😁
