Amazing world coin…. Over 135 years old
Afternoon everyone ….
You have now seen a barrage of items from my latest box of tricks. From graded coins, to vintage rounds an even a beautiful bar yesterday.
Well today….
I am featuring a vintage world coin for all of you. I acquired this and several other vintage world coins in a trade with a friend a few years back.
He needed a Peace dollar that I had to complete his set of graded Peace dollars and asked if I’d be willing to trade. At that time I was really in search of nice specimens of old silver world coins.
So he picked several that he was willing to part with and we met up over lunch for an exchange.
This 1888 Lima, Peru Un Sol is one of the coins that was part of the trade. The coin is in very nice shape, I’d put it at very high AU minimum. It might even be a low mint state possibly an MS62 or 63.
I’m considering getting this coin graded. I have a pile building of things I’d like to get graded. This might be one of them.
Enough already, show us the coin….

Absolute banger. And from one of my absolute favorite areas to visit. Peru and Bolivia are pretty much the most beautiful part of the world.
Damn fine coin! Looks brand new.

Very very nice!
Three eights, I like those numbers. A coin with three eights can be issued once every 1000 years.
135 year old and still looks so nice
