Final result….

Afternoon everyone….

A few weeks back, I posted about a recent job that I had just completed. Or thought I had completed…..

Let me explain….

I was originally contracted to add a stand alone bar in the kitchen adjacent to the main kitchen. The original set up was a thirty inch wide pantry, then a Sub Zero refrigerator, followed by another thirty inch wide pantry cabinet. There was an existing blank wall which was just under five feet next to that.

I was to remove the pantry cabinet to the left of the refrigerator, and build a bar unit per my design.

Here is the original work…

Roughly a week later they contacted me to make the rest of that wall to match the bar I had built. If you look at the one picture you will see the white pantry cabinet.

They also said that they were replacing the existing refrigerator with a new Sub Zero one. This added a new element. The old one had a stainless panel that went all the way up. The new one did not. So I had a plan.

I decided to make a false raised panel piece to accent the panel. Tying everything together.

Here is the final result….

Hope you enjoyed the work…

Thank you. It’s solid maple wood with an autumn stain and white glaze on it.

The bar was the first part done, a few weeks ago. I finished off the rest after they wanted it to match.
