Join me on a bathroom renovation….

Afternoon everyone ….

It’s been quite some time since I’ve shared some of my work. So today I’m going to share a master bathroom that I was called in to complete.

If you are wondering why I worded it that way. It’s because I was not the original contractor who signed this job. The homeowner reaches out to me after seeing a bathroom job that I did for one of his friends.

I agreed to come take a look at the job, even though it was technically under contract by another remodeler. When I got there, before seeing the room that they wanted done explained the situation.

Evidentially the contractor hired has been working on this job for nearly two months and is no where near close to anything being accomplished. He shows up with a worker and after an hour disappears saying he’ll be right back and leaves the helper there by himself who doesn’t know what to do. The poor kid was getting drilled by the homeowner daily about where is your boss….

Long story short, the contractor agreed to walk away from the job. I don’t know what the deal was with him. But I can tell you that I had to rip out the tile he set because it wasn’t put in properly.

The only thing that I can say is at least they finished the drywall for me. I had to fix a bunch of spackle issues but that was minor to me.

I suggested a completely different cabinet layout from what the original contractor had. Probably because I make all my own cabinets and he was buying what he could. Not only that but they were able to now get the color they wanted on the cabinets.

So here is where I am currently…

The color is a sage green, it’s a his and her set up with a drop down makeup center at the end.

The original contractor was going to put a small closet in the room. Instead I suggested a linen cabinet with crown molding.

I still have a bunch of work but the main part of the job is done. I just have to tile a shower stall area and get all the fixtures and glass installed.
