Afternoon everyone…..

What a really crappy way to end an amazing trip with a bunch of absolutely crazy fun group of people.

Our flight leaving Las Vegas back to New Jersey was scheduled for 10:15am Las Vegas time. Everything was going smoothly, until right before take off. I could see a maintenance person come onto the plane and was playing around with one of the fire exit doors.

Then….

The pilot announces that we will be leaving ten to twenty minutes late due to a maintenance repair. Twenty five minutes goes by. Then the pilot announces that what they did, unfortunately didn’t work and it will now be another forty five minutes to an hour delay.

The entire time we are all stuck on the plane waiting….

Ninety minutes later they announce that we will be unboarding the plane to complete the repairs.

What a shit show….

Everyone storms the desk as we get back to the gate awaiting what is going to happen. The next plane with space leaving Las Vegas to New Jersey wasn’t until 7:35pm if they cancelled this flight.

Fuck my life…..

Over half the plane of people left looking for other flights to nearby airports. Which wasn’t a bad thing for us. If the plane was fixed and going to eventually take off.

After waiting at the gate for over an hour. They announced that the repair is fixed.

BUT…..

The flight crew had timed out and we now needed to await an arrival from Florida to get a flight crew first.

So our 10:15am departure, was now a 3:55pm.

Once we took off the plane ride was fine, but I didn't get home until after midnight east coast time. That made it a complete day of wasted time at an airport.

On a different note…..

A week or so ago my buddy @fat-elvis posted a graded 1949 Canadian silver dollar. Well I commented to bring it with you to Vegas fir me..

And he did….

A little exchange of some cash and this coin was now mine.
