Merry Morgan Monday….

Afternoon everyone ….

We got our first snow of the year yesterday. Not much of an accumulation, but it’s not melting because it’s cold and windy.

Had a little time on my hands yesterday. While I finished up the Netflix series 1899, I was going through a new box of goodies from my private security place.

First I need to thank @trumpman for recommending this series. It was a great watch.

Now onto the silver

This was the first thing starring at me when I opened it. It’s a graded PCGS MS65 Morgan silver dollar. It’s also has a green CAC sticker, added value. It’s an 1881-S, meaning San Francisco Mint.

There was a post-it attached with where I got it and how much I paid. It’s was purchased at a coin show in Maryland in 2019. I paid $85 for it then.

The current sold at auction price currently is between $245-$270. Not a bad profit.

I definitely examine the breaks in the articles that have antique coin collections. I will make a collection like this one day.

I love Morgans, second only to St Gaudens. That is a true beauty, and the profit is icing on the cake! Lately I've been collecting mainly DMPL's in these, they can be expensive but such beautiful coins!
