2022 South Africa Gold Krugerrand, 1/10 oz

Coin Highlights:

56th coin in the Gold Krugerrand Series and the 43rd release of 1/10 oz gold coins.

Contains 1/10 Troy oz of actual gold content in BU condition.

On the obverse is Paul Kruger.

The reverse features a Springbok antelope.

JM Bullion

The image of Paul Kruger can be found on the obverse of 2022 South African Gold Krugerrand Coins. Otto Schultz produced the left-profile relief of the previous president of the South African Republic in 1892, who served for four terms. During the nineteenth century, the pattern initially appeared on gold South African pounds.

Depicted in the reverse of 2022 1/10 oz Gold Krugerrand Coins is a Springbok antelope. The Springbok is indigenous to the grassy plains of southern Africa and serves as the national symbol of the Republic of South Africa in the modern era. The Springbok is shown pronking in this artwork by Coert Steynberg. When the beast runs, it makes a series of successive leaps, lifting all four of its legs simultaneously and lifting the beast up to a height of four feet.

The first gold Krugerrands were released in 1967, but it took until 1980 for the fractional-ounce gold coins to become widely available. Since 1985, no single year has seen more than 100,000 1/10 oz Gold Krugerrands minted.

I have shown you these gold pieces:

It is gorgeous, indeed! The South African Krugerrand, the American Gold Eagles, the Great Britain Gold Britannia, are my favorites... and oh, the Canadian Maple Leaf, the Libertad, the Philharmonic.

Splendid collection to sit and enjoy looking at, checking values, full enjoyment in more ways than one of only being an asset.

Such pretty coins, makes me want to collect them all! I've never bought fractionals from South Africa before, maybe it's time to expand my coin collection. Thanks for the great information, and keep stacking!

The Gold Krugerrand, when I first started stacking the only place this was available was at an investment bank downtown... Now this favorite is available almost everywhere!!!

Indeed! Although I seldom see then in YouTube, much more here in Hive. I'm sure they are hiding it. Just like you... you seldom show your stack

Can you take the coins out of the bezel? Won't the coins be damaged?

Oh no! They are gently held in and can be unscrewed should you ever need to take them out!

I did one set where the coins were just a little small; not too much, but had some movement. I borrowed with liquid from work that I use to put in the V groove of frames when the lenses are just a hair too small and you get movement with it. It it white, but dries clear, sort of like Elmer's glue. It peels right off, if you need to remove it. So I used that to take up the space and it worked like a charm. It too, will not harm the gold. !LADY💞🤗😘🌸🎄
