2026 Rwanda Silver Lunar Ounce Horse

I picked up this coin... as you can see, the date on the invoice is late November 2025.

Staying true to my passion, whenever a new coin comes out, and it's on my must-have list, I make sure to snag it right away.

Unfortunately, I can't show you how much the coin is now, as it is totally out with all dealers, including the secondary market on eBay.

If you’ve been stacking for a while, you might remember when Rwanda first released its Lunar Ounce coin in 2017. That was only my second year stacking.

Back then, the African Ounce Series was huge. I was always a little jealous of the stackers showing off their Rwanda African Ounce coins. They always carried a premium, so the coins were out of my reach.

The African Ounce series started in 2008, so by 2017 it had already built up 11 years of hype. Each release featured different wildlife and cultural themes, which made the coins even more desirable. There was no way I could collect them... same story with the Perth Mint Lunar Series II... so I never ended up buying any.

Those premiums (basically the extra cost above face value or metal value) came from the limited mintages, the strong designs, and the demand from collectors. So when I say I envied the people flashing their Rwanda African Ounce coins, it’s because owning one was, and still is, something any coin fan would be proud of.

Then 2017 rolled around, and Rwanda offered its first Lunar Ounce coin. And finally, I got my hands on one. The Lunar Ounce Rooster was my very first Lunar coin.

That was the moment I decided I was going to collect the Rwanda Lunar Ounce series.

And now, I have ten!

Two more coins to go!!!

as always such a nice collection you have there.
Love the coin and the design, and must be nice knowing that the premium price that you paid before has paid up with the current silver value, not to mention the price of the rarity of the coin for the collcetor.

so awesome.

Looking back, it happened quickly!!!!
It helps that we are on Hive... This community, to be exact, is where we show what we have accumulated through the years. I get my inspiration from you and other stackers, to keep on going!!! I like @silverd510 and @fat-elvis in particular. They are consistent, and what they stack is relatable.. real stackers!!!

Such a pretty coin, great pickup for the stack. They do have such nice coins, although right now buying silver sure is getting expensive. It's no longer a poor man's metal! lol

"Poor man's metal" usually refers to aluminum (or historically, pewter), known as "poor man's silver" for its shiny appearance, low cost, and light weight. Alternatively, silver itself is often called "poor man's gold" because it is a more affordable, accessible precious metal used for investment and jewelry.
Nah, silver is truly gold, @thebighigg , !LOL
Look, I finally had the experience of exchanging silver for gold!!! Before, it was all theoretical! My advice. if one cannot buy gold, buy silver!!!

Isn't it, sis! I think the Rwanda series is unique!
I ask AI:
The Rwanda Lunar Ounce series is produced by the BH Mayer Mint (also known as BH Mayer Kunstprägeanstalt GmbH) located in Munich, Germany. The series, which began in 2017, features a "cracked ice" mosaic design and is minted in silver and gold on behalf of the Republic of Rwanda.

Much !LUV sis and xoxo 🤗😍😘
I hope you are OK!!!

I couldn't afford both the Lunar Calendar and the Nautical Ounce series, you know I stuck with only the ever popular dragon and Tiger of the Lunar, then went nuts on the Nautical. Too many choices, too many distractions that entice us off our Stacking goals.

Always, with Love 🤗🌺❤️

I've collected over the years (well, any series that started in 2015, which is NONE, most started 2017!) the Lunar coins: Rwanda 2017, Australia 2020, Royal Australia 2020, Nautical Ounce 2017, Dragon Rectangular Coin 2018, Korean ChiWoo 2016, and the Krugerrand 2017. All other coins are subject to conversion !LOL
