30 Days of ZERO Spending
If you notice that every time you come back from the store with more than you expected, impulse purchases may keep you from saving money.
It could be a few dollars here and there for things like sweets, drinks, and magazines. Perhaps a sale item drew your attention, and you couldn't pass it up.
In any scenario, wasteful expenditures accumulate.
There are plenty of things you could stop buying to save money. But if you want to try a more extreme saving method, why not try 30 days of ZERO spending? This might just put a lot of money in your pocket in 30 days.
The rules are straightforward. Rent/mortgage payments, food, electricity bills, and other basics are the only things you spend money on. You don't spend money on entertainment, eating out, or other wants.
And then you can deposit all the money into your savings account in one month!
The experience can be educational!
Perhaps seeing that you can live without all of the things you thought you needed will shift your perspective on spending money. You can redefine your needs and desires. You'll discover areas where you can save more money.

One plan we used when we lived in Colorado, was to shop only once a Month @silversaver888 !😊
We lived over 130 miles each way, from the larger town with better prices!
This definitely curbed spending!😇
When I decided to be revolving debt free, I did not buy a handbag, nor shoes, and clothes (except for special occassions) the entire year, @silvertop !

I have not spend money on rent in the recent past. I lived in a cave, and since yesterday (2023.05.05) I sleep in a tent. I am not planning to pay for rent in the near future. I also have not paid for electricity in the recent past. I used solar powered energy to charge my smartphone. I spent very little amount of money on food in the recent past. I learned recycling from the community. Collecting the no longer sellable, but still edible food, which is thrown away by supermarkets.

My usual impulse is when I find a grocery item that is on sale that I regularily use, I stock up! Rather than buy it again down the road at it's regular price. That's assuming that it is not Close dated. One of my shopping tactics.
