A Birthday Celebration
I prepared Baked Salmon!
It got ruined in transit... arrgh! Nevertheless, it tasted so good!
It was my friend's birthday! We celebrated her 81st birthday. She had three other guest who brought Cream Cheese topped with Jelly, and Cookies.
This was the topping for the cream cheese!
It was a simple celebration. She didn't expect me to prepare Baked Salmon.
I posted about her sometime back. This is her house.
It was sweet and fun!

I love seeing her, she is so sweet. I see here t least 4 times a year, I wish I could go more often.
Sometimes I worry unnecessarily about them. I have two other elderly that I visit, all I met in church at Mass.👍😀😍
That just shows what a caring person you are and I have no doubt they all love your visits

We sometimes just dump salsa over the cream cheese and use as dip. That relish looks like it should be tasty too.

I stayed over two hours in her home, just listening to them talk. They are no different despite the age difference. They are young at heart! I hope we all will be able to age gracefully.
Salsa... I have to try that, it is like salsa with cheese, hehehe!
Yes, her house is very compact. It is essentially a square footprint with two rooms on the other side and a restroom in the middle! An ideal home! It has a small porch in front, and a parking garage at the back.

She invited me for coffee on her birthday. Because it was around 1:00 pm, I thought that I'd prepare something substantial yet light. She appreciated the gesture very much. In fact, the salmon was almost gone, hehehe. I knew she love salmon!

How so often good intention and dong everything right cooking for a special occasion does not work out! I am sure that this lovely birthday girl felt wonderfully happy and loved. There is nothing like a good old laugh over the table. How very kind of you to host a birthday party.

I don't measure the ingredients.
It is half and half mayo and sour cream. and oyster sauce.
I used yellow bell pepper in here, but red bell pepper is beautiful as garnish.
Bake at 325 degrees.
