A Different Market

(Edited)

Today, I bring you some art paintings that are original and made by hand (without the aid of technology). They are made by artists who are mostly from the Bay Area, and of different mediums.

As in any painting, they celebrate the freedom of the artist and personal interpretation of what they see or feel.

Two paintings by Clay Siebert in Watercolor. Both were mare in 1990 and are untitled landscapes.

The Untitled paintings above and below were done by P.G. Gravele. They are both Collage painting on paper. This was done in 1997.

The two Pastels was painted by Jan Richardson-Baughman in 1997 entitled Crossroads.

A painting on hand-made paper by Lee Waren in 1989 entitled Wild Goose Chase #27.

This last painting is by Dale Laitinen in 1990. It is in Watercolor entitled Color on Bishop Creek.

Any thoughts?

On the paintings by P.G. Gravele, I wonder what the circle represents in the middle of a musical staff???
I would say the first two watercolors by Clay Siebert are my favorite, you can definitely tell they were painted by the same artist they have the same style @silversaver888!😀
Always nice to support local artist, they usually don't make a lot on their paintings!

I like Bishop Creek the best. I have always wanted to paint, or draw, but have never spent any real time trying to do it. Maybe some day......Thanks for sharing sis!

I've got too many irons in the fire for now, plus I own zero equipment to even think about it yet. Enjoy, and show us what you paint!🤗😘🌸💕

These are hanging in your home Sis?
They are indeed lovely choices for the colorful Gal you are.
You con only imagine what passes my concept of art is by what I have on my IG reel besides Lolita fashion and Silver. I don't even have room on my walls. Oh the clutter in my house.

Always, with love 🤗🌺❤️

Thank you for joining the #MarketFriday challenge! I like the collection that you have shown us today. The different textures and mediums make them interesting as you go from piece to piece. I must ask you, which is your most favorite piece? Even if you love them all, and I suspect you do, otherwise, why would you buy them or hang them, right? :)) I find that it is hard to describe art adequately that is not framed well. Sounds odd, doesn't it?

I love the frames selected for your and they can really make or break your pieces. Do you go to the galleries to buy most of yours or festivals? I have a mix of where I buy them and also, a huge mix of different movements or genres in what I like and collect. Nice show!! I had a great time!

I love the experience of it all. I appreciate the love and support given to #MarketFriday! Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a piece of your world, and I have to say, people are interested in is seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I am so happy to see you here! I hope you have a fabulous day! Hive on!!

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road

I put these here for guidance for people. Any questions, ask.

  1. Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service.
    Take pictures! Be creative!

  2. Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost?

  3. Post the picture(s) Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post

  4. Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post #hive-196308 (this is not required, but appreciated)

  5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it

  6. Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!

  7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post. Pretty please?

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
