An Elegant Bird in the 2019 Swan Coin: Silver Swans Part 3

(Edited)

Happy Saturday, Stackers and Hivers!!! And thank you for letting me share my love for silver coins, specifically this beautifully designed silver coin!

The Silver bullion Swan was first launched in 2017. The designs vary each year, much like the Koala and Kookaburra coin series from the Perth Mint. In this coin article series, I will be featuring the Silver Sawn coins in the order of their year of release.

Here are the links to the previous articles on this series:

2019 Australia 1 oz Silver Swan BU

Third annual series of 1 oz limited mintage of 25,000 coins and .9999 fine silver. Silver Swan coins designs vary each year.

On the reverse side of 2019 Australian Swan Silver Coins is the image of a swan swimming in a quiet pond with its young. Another adult swan is depicted swimming in the distant background. The black swan is the only species that naturally inhabit Australia and it is known to breed throughout the southeast and southwest of the continent.

The obverse of 2019 1 oz Australian Swan Silver Coins features the latest effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This right-profile portrait is based on Jody Clarks 2015 design for the Royal Mint of England and serves as the sixth-generation design of the Queen on Australian coinage. With the Queen's neckline and shoulders visible, this is the first design of its kind on Australian coins since 2019.

Sis, has Perth ever put out a Black Swan silver coin other the 1967 Australian Silver Dollar other than just taking a silver one and 'Colorizing' it black? I figure you as the Perth Swan expert at this point.
Always, with Swannish love.... 🌺 💝 🌹 💓 🌸 🌼

Not an expert here. It was the Royal Australian Mint that produces the Decimal coins, sis. The 2009 versions were struck by the Pert Mint.

Per what I read: +The coin's reverse portrays the grace and majesty of the Australian Black Swan in flight by Andor Meszaros (1900-1972). The design was suggested for the reverse of Australia's new 20 cent decimal coin in 1966 although it was not selected, (The iconic Platypus was used) the magnificent image is fondly remembered by many for its appearance on the obverse of Australia's legendary, but unofficial, 1967 "Goose" Dollar."
Thanks for including the link, sis. There is always something to learn about coins as we go through our years of stacking... and there must be tens of thousand coins.
Have a great evening, my lovely sis @kerrislravenhill. Take care 🥰🌺🤙, lots of love💓💝 and a million and one Hugs and Kisses 🤗💕💋!

Perth Mint coins are top notch. The only thing is that they are now releasing more and more coins. Lucky for me, I don't stack them. It used to be it was just the Kook then they added the Koala, and then they added the bullion Kangaroo. Then they added the Swan and the year after, the Emu the next along with the Dragon bar coin. And now they have the triangle coin. And this year, they released a new series again which I just recieved (phew... soooo many!)...I will feature that on one of the Wednesdays to come! Maybe you will like that one too!
Have a wonderful week ahead, my friend @maddgmike, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

If I recall correctly, it was you and @kerrislravenhill that convinced me to show this series of coins. Sometimes we pick and chose what to show in public...[and so I stopped showing my tubular journey in gold, I think now that one tubular journey- the Engelhard Prospector round, is more than sufficient... all I wanted to do was to show the essence of what stacking is all about, but I am afraid that some peeps may perceive it as something else... ].
Have a great week ahead, my friend @silvertop, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

I think it's all good my friend, what you are showing is how important it is to continue to stack. Your Journey is very unique to @silversaver888, mine to me and the Mrs.....😇😍
Maybe one person out there that hasn't been stacking will see your post and start.....
That would be a wonderful thing!!!! I always look forward to your post my friend, stack and continue to post your Journey!!😍😍😀

I think that the swans are one of the best-designed coins of the Perth MInt. I love its very classic look.
Have a terrific week ahead, my sweetest sister @elizabethbit! Take care 🥰🌺🤙, lots of hugs and love 🤗💕.
