Beautiful Silver Hand Pours

I’ve always been drawn to silver designs that celebrate classic American emblems—the Bald Eagle, the American Buffalo, and iconic coinage like the Morgan Dollar, Peace Dollar, Walking Liberty Half Dollar, Barber Quarter, and Mercury Dime. Add to that the timeless Statue of Liberty, and you’ve got the imagery that speaks straight to my collector’s heart.

Among the few truly exceptional silver hand‑pour artists, Rik Schultz of Rix Metal Worx stands out without question.

Prototype Hand‑Poured Silver Round

This beautiful piece is the very first prototype of Rik’s upcoming “Horse” series. Future pours will come in at around 1.5 ozt or more, but this inaugural model weighs in at 1.27 troy oz of .999 fine silver. It’s stamped “P” for prototype and “SS” for Silver Saver... my personal mark to ensure it stays in my collection.

In the 19th century, horses were used for many jobs. In the west, they were ridden by cowboys for handling cattle on the large ranches of the region and on cattle drives. In cities, including transporting people via carriage and horse-drawn public transport. They were used for hauling freight and for farming. In some cases, their labor was deemed more efficient than using steam-powered equipment to power certain types of mechanized equipment. Wikipedia.com

And what a splendid Horse Round it is. I absolutely love it.

This Eagle Round is simply breathtaking. The Bald Eagle has symbolized the United States since 1782, and Rik captured its strength and grace beautifully in this pour.

The bald eagle’s role as a national symbol is linked to its 1782 landing on the Great Seal of the United States. Shortly after the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress gave Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams the job of designing an official seal for the new nation. Rik stamped this one with “SS” as well... another keeper for my collection.

The American Buffalo, or Bison, holds a special place in our national story. In fact, it became the first national mammal of the United States, joining the Bald Eagle as a recognized American symbol. Through the National Bison Legacy Act, Congress honored the bison as a “historical symbol of the United States” and designated it our national mammal. TheGuardian.com

The horse is the prototype. I'm sure there are some (at least 5) out here!

Rik takes pride in his work! And it shows. He is many years senior (in pouring) than this other pourer, who is equally skilled as Rik, and I will feature him on Saturday, @thebighigg.

We were babies (well, me, in particular) then! I still need motivation every now and then, especially now when spot is so high. I'm debating if I should adjust my budget. But I have enough silver, sometimes I think. Yet gold is so expensive. That is only one fractional piece a month!!! UGH!!!
Oh well...
Much !LUV always, sis 🤗🌺❤️

I'm grateful that we started back in those earlier years, and following the wisdom of those who see the path more clearly than we did. Good thing we listened. The days of cheap bullion are over.
Just ordered a 2026 KRUZENSHTERN Nautical Ounce. The price... ugh! Too much. With the latest Australian Swan, a pair Star Wars rounds and a 2026 American silver Eagle and that's it. 5 coins.
Seems like yesterday that I got 16 oz. for the same cash.

❤️🤗 Back at you Sis!
