Santa Claus travels the world on Christmas Eve delivering gifts in a sleigh pulled by flying reindeer. In 1812, American author Washington Irving refers to St. Nicholas as "— riding over the tops of the trees, in that self-same wagon wherein he brings his yearly presents to children". Source
In 1823, the Troy Sentinel published the poem A Visit From St. Nicholas, commonly known as The Night Before Christmas. The poem features eight flying reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh and, for the first time, they are identified by name:
And he whistled and shouted and called them by name;
"Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! on, Cupid! on, Dunder and Blixem!
To the top of the porch, to the top of the wall!
Now, dash away, dash away, dash away all!"
Christmas is that season when everything sparkles just a little brighter. The #silvergoldstackers community nailed it with our Secret Santa exchange! Every gift adds to the glow of the celebration. And honestly, there's no better time than silver for Christmas!

Santa is so busy @silversaver888 can you imagine how many Silver rounds he has to carry in his sleigh!😇😳
I hope his reindeer can get him off the ground, with so many troy ounces of Silver Lol!🤣
Hehehe, I always imagined the reindeer were super strong. And 25 oz of silver from the #silvergoldtackers community in addition will not matter!!! I wonder what my Secret Santa will send me?

!INDEED, sis! Is there any chance of Christmas Mass in the new church? Regardless, it will be special I am sure!
We just were told today at church, that the land was purchased and paid for and the the deed is in the possession of the church! Yippee! That means, Lord willing, we will break ground next year in 2026 and I know they are hopeful for occupancy by Christmas next year! How wonderful that would be!
Love ya back sis!🤗😘❤️🎄✝️ !HOPE !HBIT
