Sometimes I get stuck in analysis paralysis and never get a start. The best method to attain a personal objective is to write out every conceivable step that must be taken. Then, prioritize those steps based on what needs to happen first. The objective is to always move forward.
Most business advice will tell you to commercialize your passion. They suggested asking yourself these questions:
- What are your interests?
- What do you hate doing?
- Can you think of anything that might make those tasks more manageable?
- What skills do you have?
- What do others seek your guidance on?
- What topic would you give a five-minute speech on?
- What do you want to do?
I answered the questions, and it prompted me to start this endeavor. Once I had the idea, I evaluated whether I can do it.
I interviewed several people and suppliers. Most of them were way out there in total pricing. I narrowed it down to three, and then to one.
After three months of planning the business, I went ahead with it.
I took a little of my savings and self-funded it. This way, I retain entire control over the business. I also assume all of the risk, so I was being careful not to spend more than I can afford.
Okay, so I have decided to have a foundry hand-pour the Hive Silver Round. I own the design. It is clean and simple. Below is the prototype of the silver round.
- Design: Hive logo in the center with the word HIVE in block letters below. A single bee is in the top right corner lo the logo. In the lower left corner on the logo are the weight (1 troy ounce) and purity of the silver (.999 FS).
The Hand-Poured Hive Silver Round is available to be preordered. The first 29 silver rounds are serialized, with the number stamped on the round. The succeeding orders are not.
The Hand Poured Hive Silver Round are priced at
50HBD + shipping.
