Update on Hive Silver Round, Walk on Wednesday

I took a very short walk in our neighborhood to visit the newly installed neighborhood sharing library box on our block.

It is wonderful out here. Quiet.
Flowers are in bloom

Ahh... the little free library! It was installed last weekend, and it has more than enough books already.


Now that we have this is our block, I will bring the books I have read here so other can share in the joy the books have brought me.

I also went to the tower, our mailbox tower and ...

I received this!!!

I brought three books this morning on my way to work. I have more!
I suppose you don't carry books with you? But then, a few books to bring along in your travels is common. I've got to make more time to read!

That’s cool, yes… I sometimes run around with books 📚
Me too… would like to have time again to read or draw. I’m so busy lately… just crazy. Too much going on and things that needs to get sorted.

The place I am in is a rental… until we find a small cottage to buy we stay here. 😉🤓 so maybe… one more move hehehe but that’s it. I need to settle down.

I've seen your little library! They are fantastic!
Do you bring some of your books to share with the neighbors?
This way, you don't have to bother knocking on your neighbors door; just leave them in the little library!
I'll work on packaging the silver button this weekend!

Some of the neighbors are actually exchanging books from the library before they get returned back to the library @silversaver888!😇
It’s very popular, we just watched a DVD somewhat dated, but still a good movie called sneakers that was included in a little library !😊

We have one of these libraries on our road too, and it's a dead end road! Joan, who passed away before Christmas, was the head librarian in our county library system. She loved this little library of hers. Does yours have a little plaque in it?

Plaque? I didn't notice. But the other one in the next block had a wooden sort of a plaque with some book sayings. That one is larger than our little library!

They give (or can) a numbered plaque that indicates it's part of a network of mini libraries. It's kind of cool. If I think about it, the next time I go by ours, I will take a pic of it to show you!

A few more of these quaint little libraries have popped up in my hood since we last mentioned them. I haven't checked them lately since I've got plenty sitting in my own library yet to be read.

I used to buy books... I read them all... but then I started stacking!!!
Nah... I read at least two or three books a year. Not bad considering how busy we are, hehehe!

I immediately thought this post was about flowers, and even after I saw 'library', I thought, "library of flowers?" 😄 Very beautiful flowers your camera caught there, and congrats on getting that library. Maybe I'll do something as nice for my neighbourhood.
