You can choose NOT to have debt

That's true, you didn't "have to" borrow money to cover those unexpected expenses. "But I had no choice!" you may be thinking. I had to take out a loan because ...."

I think the same way too... a long time ago.

Debt is a DECISION. It is a choice. Sometimes the decision is unpleasant, desperate, and dreadful. But it is still a choice. At times, it is a thoughtless choice—a rash decision. Some situations are entirely fixable and avoidable, but you rationalize them to yourself as something you "have" to do for all sorts of reasons.

You control how you respond to events in our lives. I chose, you choose, and we all choose.

I enjoy realizing that things are my choice. I am enthusiastic because it means I will have the ability to affect change in the future.

To react differently,
plan ahead
and prepare as best I can for the unknown.
To prepare for the foreseeable,
the unavoidable,
and the enjoyable.

You can do it as well.

Many of my coworkers lived beyond their means, then they would go into debt @silversaver888, to buy the latest cars, toys, etc.
Debt an endless trap…….😲

I think it's a good idea for me to have at least One Percent of my total debt in Common U.S. Coinage... For example... If I owe 5,000 of today's Fiat USD's on my Car, I should have at least $50 in Common U.S. Coinage standing by, to pay off my Car, on the "other side" of the U.S. Monetary Correction...

Yes! Smart idea!

lol... I actually came up with higher Melt Values for the Staggering Amounts of Silver and Gold, that will be Flooding into the United States Treasury... We will buy an Ounce of Silver and give back a One Ounce, $10 Silver Coin... The $10 Silver Coin will have the Spending Power of 1,000 of today's Fiat USD's...

It takes preparation to not rely on debt and lots of folks are not ready like the post you shared about folks struggling to come up with 400 for an emergency, but for the most part I agree debt is to be avoided unless it's for a mortgage or some rich folk tax evasion schemes 🤣

Yeah, revolving debt are bad debts, whereas a mortgage is a good debt!😊

Some people deliberately chose to get debt when they actually have other ways to of solving their problems without collecting debt.
Sometimes, they would end up not paying up the debt and instead looking for another one.

Debt is a DECISION. It is a choice. Sometimes the decision is unpleasant, desperate, and dreadful. But it is still a choice.

Yes it's a choice... but it becomes less of a choice if we see debt as SLAVERY. Then people would avoid it like the shackles it actually is.
