“Looks Like Someone Needs A Latte Break!”😇…….My Actifit Report Card: September 26 2026
“Looks Like Someone Needs A Latte Break!”😇
Summer is back after almost TWO inches of rain in the last 36 hours !😳😅
Ahhh……….the living is easy, at least for the time being Lol!😇
Today found Liz and Silvertop headed to Home Depot, and look what the Mrs found…………..
“Silvertop if you packaged all of your 36 Cords of firewood, and sold each for $7.97 how much would we make?”🥰
“Probably enough for 21 Million Bitcoin honey Lol!🤣😍
It’s the time of year when Home Depot starts marketing preparations for winter!☺️
If you don’t burn firewood, perhaps you have a pellet stove?😇
For $6.48 you can get a 40 lb bag of Douglas Fir wood pellets!
The only problem is when the electric grid goes down……. So does your heat for your home!😳
9AM this morning Liz stepped out of the shower……………..
Silvertop was next………….
“Uhhh…. Silvertop the power just went out!”🙄
If you have read any of Silvertop’s post, you already know we have Solar with battery backup!😎
The only 240 Volt appliances that must stay on grid power is our deep water well pump!😇
Silvertop has fixed this issue with our propane/ gas generator!😊
I procrastinated before hooking up the generator to the transfer switch………..
I checked the generator log book………
I start the generator each and every Month, but it hasn’t been needed since December 2024!😇
OK Liz I’m setting up the generator, I will grab a shower, then I will shut it down, the Sun is shining!😎
We have two close circuit cameras……… one watches our battery percentage of charge meter, so I can always check our batteries from anywhere, on line!
The second camera stays on “grid power” and monitors our hot water heat pump.
This way I can always check our Solar batteries, and when the second camera goes down…….. I know the grid electricity is down as well!😇
Seven hours later as we were driving home from a well deserved Latte and mocha, I checked the camera for our heat pump on my iPhone
“Liz… the grid power is back!”🤗
When we first moved to the Northwest, we would actually pack up and drive to a motel when the power went down………
Sometimes for three to four days!😳
“Nice Silvertop, I’m so glad we have Solar!”🥰
“I am as well Liz!”😇
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊

It was the beginning of the season for power outages, albeit early!
Also dear.......I believe we have ++26++ cords of firewood.......not 36!
🤗🌹
Oops...... well at least I can dream Lol!!!🤣
Why bother with retail firewood when you already have enough to float an aircraft carrier? My City won't allow fires in our chimney unless it is an emergency. I can understand the safety issues but I really think it's because they're trying figure a way to charge a Carbon Tax on it.

I think it's all about control, my friend .....unfortunately!🙄
My neighbor was complaining yesterday that they are trying to get rid of all natural gas furnaces, and wood stoves will be next in line!🙃

I'm still running our generator again. Even though the hurricane didn't bring high winds or torrential rains, we've had solid clouds for days now! Bring on the sunshine, please! Maybe it needs a generator boost? Your camera setup to keep track of your batteries is pretty sweet, my friend! That would be very helpful here! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
It's been very helpful having one camera on grid and one camera on solar!😇
That way, I can always keep track of what's going on.....
I hope you get sunshine soon, my friend!!😎
I can definitely understand why, as it's an excellent hybrid solar arrangement! Indeed, I love it! Thank you so much, my friend, and the sun finally came out in force today, after several days of rain and clouds! Yahooey! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Nice to hear we are both prepared with solar and backup generator!!!🤗👍😇
It's the only way to go, my friend! When hurricane Lala passed through, the nearest town, Pahoa, was left without power for days! We were fine, of course! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I'm very glad you were fine, my friend...... let this be the end of the hurricane season!!😇😀
I super appreciate that, my friend, thank you, and oh my goodness, yes, please! I'm really quite done with all these hurricanes this year! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
Be safe, my friend..... and may your stretch of sunny days continue!!!😎👍
Thank you, my friend, and I always do my best indeed! That would be lovely! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
😎👍🤗.............
Oh wow I learned much from what you shared here about your DIY set up. I admit I don't know much about tech stuff but I think it would be useful to have some knowledge of off grid power, generators, and solar power too. I'd definitely love my own place and learn that setup. Happy week ahead!

Weather can change so quickly in the Pacific Northwest we always need to be prepared!!😇
