Hello friends! Today I want to share with you some photos taken in another charming village in Tuscany, called Barga. This small town, located in the province of Lucca, has less than 10,000 inhabitants but contains a unique and authentic beauty. Let yourself be enchanted by its narrow streets, the warm colors of its stone buildings and the breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Barga and discover the hidden treasures of this enchanting place.

I remember with nostalgia my trip to Barga, a charming village in Tuscany. I visited it towards the end of the summer, but despite the typical heat of that period, I was struck by the beauty of its narrow streets and stairways which, especially in the summer, make you sweat a lot but it's worth it because it lead you to explore hidden corners of the country rich in history and natural beauty.

Traveling in the small villages of Tuscany is always an unforgettable experience for me, but what makes these trips really special are meeting the locals. As I said in other posts, I think the best thing about these trips is meeting local people who tell you their stories and maybe even some secrets of the Borgo. During my last trip to Barga, I was lucky enough to meet a very nice gentleman who had a shop in the village. He made me taste many good things to eat and told me anecdotes and curiosities about the history of the place. Sharing these experiences with the locals is, in my opinion, the best thing about traveling to the small villages of Tuscany.

Barga is a small village in Tuscany that never ceases to amaze. Recognized among the most beautiful villages in Italy, it has been awarded the orange flag as a prestigious tourist city. Located on a hill about 400 meters above sea level, it offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside.
But Barga is not only scenic beauty, it is also rich in history and monuments of interest. Its geographical position has made this village a crossroads of cultures and influences, and this is reflected in the architecture and art. It is an ideal place for those who love art, history, culture and for those who want to immerse themselves in the authenticity and beauty of Tuscany. If you are thinking of visiting Barga, I recommend that you delve into its history and places of interest, so as not to miss a single detail of this enchanting village.

Below I leave you some references and some site where you can find useful information for a possible visit.

Barga is also the birthplace of Giovanni Pascoli, one of the greatest Italian poets of the 19th century. For this reason, even if only for its history, this place is worth a visit. However, during my visit to Pascoli's house, I had the impression that the guide accompanied us in a listless and hasty way. Furthermore, the prices for this service are decidedly high, compared to what is offered. Despite this, Barga is a fascinating place full of history, which is definitely worth a visit.
The village is alive and well kept, with stairs and alleys that cross it, surrounded by numerous parks that make it an ideal place for nature lovers.

My experience in Barga has been absolutely positive. Not only for the beauty of the panorama that can be admired from this village, but also for the authentic and characteristic atmosphere of Tuscany. As I have always said, the small villages of Tuscany are real hidden treasures, which deserve to be discovered and appreciated.

Unfortunately, the time available to visit these places is often limited and you can't see everything you would like. In a single day, it is not possible to admire all the hidden corners of these villages and this is a real shame. It would be nice to be able to stay longer in these places to visit them more thoroughly and discover all their beauties.

It has been a pleasure to share this information and my experiences with you and I hope it has been useful for you in planning your eventual visit.
