Cavrignia, another hidden gem of Tuscany.

I'm connecting to the post I shared yesterday to tell you about another experience I had during my exploration. After visiting that beautiful village, I also made a stop in Cavriglia, a municipality located in the province of Arezzo, in the eastern part of the Tuscany region.

I must say that Cavriglia pleasantly surprised me with its beauty and characteristic atmosphere. This charming place is surrounded by breathtaking nature, with green hills and expanses of olive groves that stretch to the horizon. It's like being immersed in a living painting, where every detail contributes to creating a unique atmosphere.

But even this lesser-known and less touristy beautiful municipality is surrounded by enchanting landscapes with typical Tuscan countryside features and lines.

Also, the historic center of Cavriglia, like other villages we have already visited, preserves its fascinating ancient charm intact. The narrow and winding streets, along with the well-preserved buildings, create a unique atmosphere. During my exploration, I noticed that there are many details to admire, which take us back in time and immerse us in the history of this place.

What I can definitely say is that these places always invite you to take a leisurely stroll in order to get a closer look at the traditional architecture that these places hide.

I would say that, in my opinion, the strong point of this town is the surrounding nature that offers splendid views and the opportunity to go hiking or cycling while enjoying the beauty of the landscape and the fresh air.

This area, in particular, is known for its vineyards, which provide the raw material for the production of this highly esteemed oil, appreciated both nationally and internationally.

Of course, if you find yourself in the vicinity during a visit to the historic cities such as Arezzo and Siena, these places absolutely deserve a visit. Both urban centers are a short drive away and offer a rich cultural heritage enriched with magnificent works of art.

Arezzo, for example, is famous for its artistic treasures, including the splendid Basilica of San Francesco with frescoes by Piero della Francesca and the Bacci Chapel frescoed by Giorgio Vasari. Moreover, the Cathedral of Arezzo, with its majestic Gothic facade, is an architectural masterpiece to admire.

Regarding accommodation, which some of you occasionally ask me about, in Cavriglia and its surroundings, you will find a variety of options including hotels, farmhouses, and numerous bed and breakfasts that offer warm and authentic hospitality. In my opinion, it is the best way to enjoy tranquility and relax in a characteristic environment.

Unfortunately, the only public transportation connecting this important municipality like Cavriglia is by bus, but looking at the schedule, I have noticed that very few buses pass through.
