It's ME! On A Sunday

SUNDAY, for some is a day to spend more time with their family either just lounging in their home or spending it outside. Whichever way you want to spend your Sunday, one way or another, it is a day where you free yourself from the burden you are carrying for the past six days. It’s like you break free from the chain of working or studying hard. Life will never take easy on you, so it is best to breath for a while.

I know how important it is to stay connected with your family. No matter how busy you can be, there is nothing more relaxing than to be with the people you’re too comfortable to bicker with. The presence of your family members somehow makes you forget about the struggle in your everyday life. They may not be able to take away all your burdens, but they can make it easier for you to carry them well. But you see, there are people who are not lucky enough like those who can spend most of their days with their family. Being independent means being away from your comfort zone- and sometimes being alone for some days. Good thing! I already learned that being alone doesn’t mean you are lonely. I learned to live my own company.

Last December 12, 2021- that was Sunday afternoon,to reward myself for all my hard work (hahaha!), and as usual being the only one left in the house, I decided to pamper myself a little. Yeah! just a little. I thought it was a pre- Christmas Party “preparation” thinking I will be attending “some” Christmas Parties- but Typhoon Odette happened- in which I will be talking about for my next post. So, I have this housemate who recently had an eyelash perm treatment.He recommended me the Happy Brows at 3rd Level, Ayala Center Cebu. Well, for some reason I wanted to try it even though I already have thick eyelashes (ahem!), maybe it’s the Season or I just wanted to look better or maybe I deserve just to have one. I mean, whatever the reason, I think anyone who feels like doing things to satisfy yourself is not a big deal. We all live in an imperfect world and progress is necessary. Ahhh No!!! I will not get there.

Anyways, Happy Brows’ Brow Shaping and Eyelashes Perming makes me happy literally. It is not expensive and is worth for only 560 Pesos. The result is just so amazing and it emphasizes
my eyelashes even more. The procedure took almost an hour. Ms. Gerel- the staff who performed the treatment was so nice and gentle that she even made me agree for an eyebrow threading in which I really hate the most because it is so
painful. Before performing the procedure, I love on how they are able to make you understand the whole process and the time duration. They were asking basic information like allergies for it requires chemical application. Well, anyways, I have so much trust with Ms. Gerel that I just let her do her things. The eyebrow shaping was the only painful procedure because of the threading and for the eyelash perming- it was all good but you just have to endure an hour of
closing your eyes. It was a battle of staying awake while closing your eyes.
And the thing is, the hard ways always make things beautiful.

One can easily find the place for it is just right beside the nail a Holics shop. As much as I do not want to exaggerate myself, but I cannot help it, physically speaking I love how they curate the place as it makes you feel like you are actually sitting inside your own home. The place’s ambiance is so homey and cute that when you actually forget how you tried so hard to wait for a jeepney to reached the Mall, then you would think that you are actually just resting in your own space. You know that feeling?! When you actually do not have any of those things inside your home but you still feel like you are at home?!

Anyways, Happy Brows has many services to offer, from their Hair Removal Services to Lash Enhancements all for a much affordable price.

The staff are friendly and they will make you understand the procedure
first before anything else. And for me, that is a big YES! Other services would
make you fall from their overly scripted marketing strategy just so you can say
YES to them and ended up being regretful, but with Happy Brows, what you hear is what you get. I am a happy customer and will surely get back and I also wanted to try their other services.

My Sunday did not end with me making myself look good 😊. I also need to nourish my body. And to nourish means eating my favorite Fried Chicken at Sunburst! Yup, you hear it right, Sunburst is probably one of the best restaurants that serves the best Fried
Chicken. It is quite expensive for a fried chicken but is worth the price. You know the famous fried chicken line?! “Crispy in the outside, Juicy in the
inside”, plus the serving is really big that you can even share it with someone. But since it was a Me-Time- Day, I had to share it to no one but me 😊.

You see?! It is not about who you are with, what matters most is how you spend your time. For some people, they love doing things alone, some are even happier being their own companion. Personally, I would love to enjoy my rest days with family but you can never always have the best of both worlds. Sometimes, you need to be on your own. Be your own companion. And never-ever be hesitant to frequently spend a Me-Time-Day, you needed that the most.
