My most active month on the chain...?

avatar

I have written a post almost everyday from 29th of last month. I missed just two days and I wish I hadn't because it would just have been a nice bit of continuity...but no matter, no matter.

Last time I was writing this actively, I think I managed like 1 or 15 posts in a month. I have done 17 in the last 19 days, so this month is already my most active month in the 5 years I have been on the chain.

The account growth finally feels pretty decent to look at! At least I have done my fair bit...the HP growth (aka, votes/payouts) is not entirely in my hands.

Curation have taken a slight hit as I lost a very important bit of welcome delegation, but I have then adjusted some of my own outgoing delegations a bit and covered about 30% of the hit....so still not to bad.

I'm still averaging above 2 HIVE per day, but I would much rather have that number near 5 HIVE per day. That ties in nicely with my HP goals. I do not understand the curation mechanics too well, so I can't really put a realistic target on the daily curation return I'd like...but 5 seems like a nice number for now.

In terms on engagement on my posts this has been a fantastic and enjoyable month too. I am not sure if I can label this "best" because I have had a lot of fun engagement in the past too even when I was less active. But in terms of engagement from completely new users (new as in new to me, not new on the chain) this last month has been on the top.

Dada always used to tell us to expand out of our own community and spread our reach far and beyond and that's what I have been doing this time around, finally. I have been commenting a lot more on posts in different communities...on posts of authors I have never interacted with before and that I am sure played a part in drawing traction to my blog as well, as you can see above!

And now the most important bit of Data....

...Views!

Sure, huge payouts from autovotes are fantastic! But this is what truly defines organic growth. In my first few years, the first two columns hardly ever saw two columns....it was always the few of us close knit ones reading each others. One could say, we never really saw the world.

Never knew one the wonders that going out of the house and exploring the wild west could do!

Its good to expand out from your own community especially for a place like Hive where engaging with fellow hivers and not just ur community members is very beneficial in numerous ways we can ever imagine.

Yes, HIVE is a pitch perfect example of how important networking can be. With a few rare cases of exceptions, you need to let people know that you are on hive instead of hoping for people to find out accidentally that you exist!

Branching out has some special perks, if not may; you come across and make friends with users from the different communities who share unique views towards the way of life. Also, you can learn a lot from them just by interacting and can save your hive journey from becoming boring.

By the way doc, what tool shows you the 'Views' data- the last SS you shared? I need to see this too :))

This is so spot on bro! The freshest example is right in the comment above you from forexbrokr!

And it becomes much more fun to interact with more and more different people, keeps the monotonousness away!

Regarding the views, go to "My analytics page first. You'll see "views and visitors" on the left.

Wow, it's a cool interface Ecency is missing, I usually don't use PeakD as it looks messy to me. But it's helpful. Thank you doc for your help, long live knowledge sharing!
