New Year's Rant!

I was almost about to start the new year by breaking my daily posting streak.

I finished my post for the day yesterday and it was almost midnight. My wife and I went out to our balcony to watch to watch the fireworks. We never do any of those, but sure is a wonderful sight to watch, for a while.

Kids (and unfortunately, adults too) in our neighborhood had started playing loud volume music from the evening as if there's no tomorrow, and they are the only residents of the area. I am usually a very patient person. Nothing goes through my thick rhino skin, yet I was starting to get unusually irritated. I mean there's a limit to how much bad music one can listen to on repeat, Jeez! 31st of December truly becomes a show of how much ignorance and "retardedness" (sorry for lack of a better word) people in these parts of the world harbors in them.

Everything can be fun when kept within limits. But when we lose common sense in exchange for "seeming" cool kids ("seeming," because these idiots are everything but cool), it becomes a source of extreme annoyance for everyone around. And as I said these are kids (in their teens and adolescence) who are retarded - they do not realize this and keeps thinking in their big heads the entire neighborhood is thinking ...oooh such cool kids with such cool songs! Fact check - No you are not cool, no girls think you are cool, every one is repelled by how disgusting you kids are. End of discussion.

There are sick kids in the neighborhood, there are elderly people in the neighborhood who need to sleep at night and not listen to the distasteful music they play. There have been an incidence of child death due to loud noise last years' 31st night "celebrations."

I am not sure what my wife and I were thinking when we expected the celebrations and retarded songs to be over by 12.30, or 1 a.m. maximum! I had to be in the medicine ward early this morning because we just had a hectic admission and our wards were overflowing with a "few" patients under immediate danger. After the celebrations finally ended at 5 a.m. in the morning, I hardly got 3 hours of sleeping before heading off for a long, long day that ended just a while back...nearly 12 a.m of another day!

Some people of this country truly is God's practical joke!
