The Crab Family
Hello Hive family!
In todays blog I will be sharing some photos of sea creatures that I clicked last year on a trip to Goa with my family.
This is a ocypode cursor. This crab is also known as tufted ghost crab it is a species of ghost crab which is mainly found on sandy beaches. This species is found along the coast of Eastern Mediterranean Sea and Eastern Atlantic Ocean. It's scientific name is Ocypode Cursor and subphylum is crustacea.
This is Laptograpsus variegatus. This crab is known as the purple rock crab. It belongs to grapsidae family and is large-eyed and marine. It's shell width is around 50 millimetres. It is from Malacostraca class. This crab is found in Southern Subtropical - Indo Pacific ocean. While clicking pictures of these crabs I got to knоw alot about the marine life.
The last crab that I snapped was this Hermit Crab. There are around 800 species of Hermit Crabs.
These are crabs are anomuran decapod crustaceans of the superfamily Paguroidea.
These are crabs have oftenly asymmetric abdomen hidden by a snug fitted shell.
While clicking pictures of these crabs I got to knоw alot about the marine life. There aren't just few creatures there are thausands and thausands of creatures that we've never heard of probably.
I hope you liked it!<3
