📷 My new painting "Scarlet Sails"

Have a nice day! Dear subscribers and friends who care about everything that I do, I hasten to inform you that I have a new picture ready again! This time it will be a seascape with the ships, sailboats, fishing boats or boats that I love so much...

Today I tried to focus on the structure of the rocks. For now, I still need to learn how to convey the stony nature of such surfaces. Experiment in mixing colors and selecting colors. This is not such a simple matter as it turned out in practice :-)

First of all, as always, I outlined the plot of the picture, made an under-painting and drew the outlines of the rocks.

I like to draw the sea, rivers, lakes, and the ocean...The water is always different. No one will ever be able to write the same sea as in the previous picture in a new plot. Even a small brush stroke can give a new charm to the water surface of a lake or river. And the color of the sea wave will add brightness and tonality to the whole picture. So I decided to play with flowers. That's why sea pebbles, rocks, and bright shades of sails are reflected in my water...

I hope you also see how my work has begun to change, or am I just reassuring myself?

Although you can compare it yourself. I drew this landscape exactly 2 years ago. Then I finally decided to take up drawing closely :-) There was, so to speak, the first test of my skill after school, I admit that at school I was given only threes for drawing. I couldn't even draw a still life with an ordinary pear at that time, and only such a house turned out from landscapes.

...or a children's seascape :-)

It turned out to be terrible, but I began to study more often, I learned to make clear strokes and apply correct and even lines on paper, cardboard and sometimes just cartons from boxes or ordinary packaging. After all, I had to train, and it was a pity to buy expensive paper and spoil it.

Then I began to play with shadows and light : -), choose interesting compositions for my new paintings, build interesting plots, and invent different actors...

I often began to watch videos and master classes of contemporary artists that I found on the Internet.

And as a result, every day I began to notice that I was getting better and better.

Of course, it was necessary to buy not gouache, but already acrylic paints. Replace children's brushes with more professional ones. And so, over time, the skills were honed by themselves, but most importantly, the interest in drawing did not disappear, but only flared up more and more.

And now I even conduct experiments with photos of my paintings and in a special program. Check out what came out of it.

Thank you for supporting me in my work! Your advice helps me a lot! I published many of my works in this portfolio on the website "Deviant Art", and in General, during the year of painting, I drew more than 100 paintings, of course some of them are just drawings, so to speak, a sample of the brush :-)

But there are also good paintings that have received approval even from professional masters of painting!

Thank you for Your attention and visit.
I appreciate Your feedback and comments.
I wish you luck and have a nice day!
Best wishes!
