Es Kuwut: A Refreshing Balinese Dessert

Today I am back with the recipe of amazing drink that I made with my self. This recipe is inspired from the popular traditional drink from Bali called Es Kuwut.

Es Kuwut is a popular dessert from Bali, Indonesia, that is loved for its unique taste and texture. The dish is made with young coconut meat, pandan leaves, and brown sugar, and is often served as a refreshing treat on a hot day. Recipe for Es Kuwut
To make Es Kuwut, you will need the following ingredients:

• 1 young coconut

• 5 pandan leaves

• 150g brown sugar

• 500ml water

• Ice cubes

Instructions:

•Using a sharp knife, carefully cut open the young coconut and remove the meat. Cut the meat into small pieces and set aside.

•Cut the pandan leaves into small pieces and tie them into a knot.

•In a pot, combine the brown sugar, water, and pandan leaves. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.

•Once the sugar has dissolved, reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.

•Add the young coconut meat to the pot and stir to combine. Let the mixture simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

•Remove the pot from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

•Once cooled, remove the pandan leaves and strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve.

•To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the strained mixture over the ice. Garnish with additional young coconut meat or mint leaves if desired.
