We assume you're registered and have a Hive account created and connected to your user. If not, you can read these instructions

If you tap or click the Hive icon (similar to a diamond), an info box will show the reward beneficiaries for that content. Payments arrive in your wallet one week after the content is published on the Hive network. Before that week is up, a date will be shown.

You can also check your pending balance in the control panel.

How to earn Hive rewards

After connecting your Hive account to your Skate Hype account, your content, your comments and your Hype Picks can be rewarded. A maximum of 3 content posts, 6 comments and 1 Hype Pick can be rewarded per week.

Hive Keychain wallet

Skate Hype only controls the publishing of content to your account. To transfer currency and use other features, you need to install and use Hive Keychain wallet with your keys set up.

How can I get euros or dollars from my Hive?

The simplest and recommended way is to swap your HBD to Hive directly in the Hive Keychain wallet, then exchange your Hive for euros or your local currency on any cryptocurrency exchange, where you can transfer the money to your bank account. Using your voting power (powering down) is not recommended. Remember that with 1000 HP you get a Premium account.

Control panel: Beneficiaries

You can share a percentage of your rewards with your filmer, or if you are a filmer, share with the people appearing in your video. This is done by adding Beneficiaries. By default, the "skatehype.com" account is set as a beneficiary at 5%. Next to it there is a + button — click it and a dialog box with a search field will let you find your fellow skaters and add them as beneficiaries, where you can then set the desired percentage. Only Skate Hype users connected to the Hive network will appear.

Publication and comment rewards are received by default as 50% HBD and 50% HP.

Why can't I remove the skatehype.com beneficiary or reduce its percentage below 5%?
The platform uses that share to progressively increase its voting power and distribute HBD among filmers or other expenses it sees fit.
