Hello beautiful community! Yesterday I took advantage of the beautiful day to go for a walk to Lago Puelo and visit the Bosque de las Sombras.
From here starts the Pitranto Grande trail that runs a kilometer through a fascinating forest of Pitras and ends in the seaside resort of "La Playita".

The trees in this area are strange because their trunks are curved and strange, with arched branches that twist and expand over the vegetation, which is abundant.

This evergreen tree has the particularity of developing a trunk with large undulations or vertical roughness that make it unmistakable among other species of the native Andean forest.

Another particularity is to develop without inconvenience in flooded environments with the submerged trunk without affecting it, in fact when the lake level rises, the forest that is very close, is completely flooded.

A very particular place to visit close to home.

I send you greetings from the cold Patagonian winter.
