What I pulled Today
The Sturdy and Distracting Dwarf Tinker is a T1 Trickster with 13 Dexterity, Wit, and Endurance. She has 60 Physical, 58 Mental, and 55 Sensory stat points giving her a pretty hard lean into Physical with a splash in Intelligence and Wit. I'm not quite sure what to expect from this line, but it's either going to be great or terrible with no room for anything in between.
The Dwarf Defender line, on the other hand, provides exactly what you'd expect. The T2 Defender, Dwarf Spearman, is Sturdy and Stalwart with an astounding 63 Physical Stat Points. With 15 Endurance and 14 Vitality almost all stat points went into those two stats. He also has 12 Might, 13 Wit, and 12 Sprint, but all other stat points went into Endurance and Vitality. This character tree is basically the Steelix of the Astral Entities Universe. And, I find it impossible that this line won't see extensive play in at least one of their games, but it probably will see play in more than one game.
The Versatile and Calming Human Acolyte is a T2 Priest with 54 Physical stat points, 62 Mental Stat Points, and 58 Sensory Stat Points. Her highest stat is 14 Sprint carrying her Sensory Stat Points with 13 Wit and Charisma. Aside from Wit and Charisma all other Mental Stat Points are rather elevated. I am really watching the Human Priest line with interest, and I really hope I pull a T5 ArchMage soon.
The Nosey and Quick-Fingered Gnome Thug is a T1 Thief with 56 Physical Stat Points, 58 Mental Stat Points, and 60 Sensory stats for a pretty hard lean into Awareness and Wit especially. His weakest stat is 9 Might. It's an interesting character tree that I really can't make heads or tails of. I'll be very curious to see how they play when they come out.
The Stealthy and Studious Shadowborne Sage is a T1 Mage with 54 Physical Stats, 62 Mental Stats, and 57 Sensory Stats. Her highest stats are Perseverance and Ego. I'm intrigued by this character tree, and I could see this as a speedy mage that's difficult to target. Maybe she can't hit as hard as a more Intelligence focused mage, but sometimes the mage you can't get to is the one that does the most damage. I'm keeping an eye on the Shadowborne Mage line.
The Versatile and Quick-Fingered Human Thug is a T1 Thief with 55 Physical Stat Points, 59 Mental Stat Points, and 59 Sensory Stat Points. His only elevated stat is Sprint with all other stats at 12 or 11 other than his abysmal 10 Endurance. I would say, despite his lean into Sensory and Mental Stat Points, he's very much a generalist without any real lean into one stat function over another.
The Nosey, Distracting, and Decietful Scientist is a T4 Gnome Trickster, and I am impressed. He has 58 Physical Stat Points, 61 Mental Stat Points, and 63 Sensory Stat Points, but that view doesn't really tell his story very well does it. The Gnomes are a very curious bunch and always up to no good, so a trickster scientist is definitely something that piques my interest. With 17 Dexterity, 16 Awareness, and 15 Wit, a very interesting picture is being painted. If he isn't great in Taergyn, you don't want to dump this card. He will serve a purpose at some point. Such an interesting card. His weakest stats 8 Might and 9 Vitality could prove to be a decent liability, but my excitement isn't tampered even a little.
The Nosey and Tough Gnome Grunt is a T1 Warrior with a pretty decent Physical and Sensory lean. His highest stats are 13 Dexterity, Wit, and Awareness. But he does have 10 Might, Intelligence, and Speed. Interesting stat line. The Gnomes do seem to have massive top end stats with some pretty major drawbacks on other stats. They are quite the interesting Race. I would expect more than a few truly broken cards to be from the Gnome line.
This is the T1 version of the Dwarf Spearman we looked at earlier. Sturdy and Stalwart, the Dwarf Spearman has an amazing 14 Vitality and Endurance, which is hilarious on a T1. I love it. Even at T1, the Dwarf Defenders are just so cool to me. Curiously, the Conscript has some wit that the line loses at higher tiers. There might be something metaphorical about stringent Dwarven training over decades.
The Orc Trapper is a T2 Hunter with the traits Furious and Agile, and he has an impressive 14 Agility and 14 Speed with a fine looking 13 Might and 13 Vitality. This character tree dumped hard on the Sensory stats to have a very impressive Physical Lean without sacrificing a lot of Sensory Stats that Hunters depend on. Will be very interesting to watch this line. I think I prefer the Elf Hunters a bit more, but time will tell which are truly better.
