What to Expect from the Daily Pack Articles

Each of these Daily Pack Openings is about 450 words in the template for explaining what Astral Entities is and where to find more information on it. I will discuss every single card I pulled in today's pack in detail making my best, uninformed guesses at how the card will be in the Astral Entities Universe. If you are new to the universe, read below to find out more. If you're already familiar with Astral Entities, scroll on down to What I pulled today for the 500-800 word discussion on today's pack. I hope you enjoy reading this, as I am so excited about this game universe and these beautiful NFT's!!!

What is Astral Entities?

Astral Entities is a universe of games in development by Hella Rad Games Cryptoreaper and Tanzo that will use the same NFT's available now at https://www.astralentities.com for all their games in the Astral Entities Universe. The purpose of Astral Entities is to release several games with cohesive lore all utilizing the same NFT's. Developers will also have the option of creating in-network official titles and unofficial titles using the NFT's.

There are three games currently in development:

Taergyn

Taergyn is like playing Go with D&D-inspired Fantasy characters with an array of stats, classes, and an epic depth of lore. This is the flagship game of the series and is expected to launch in Q1 2022.

Discordant Adventures

Developed by @kiokizz, is a text-based adventure on Discord. Alpha testing for the program is live now on the discord server, but there is no cryptocurrency attached yet. This will be the first game released with a goal of Q1 2022.

The Hunter's Guild

The Hunter's Guild will be a Gamified staking game with an emphasis on the Gamified. On timed adventures, you will be forced to make several hard decisions that could take twists and turns in this choose your own adventure.

Many, many more games are planned for release down the line with options being developed for developers to create their own unofficial or official games.

What I pulled Today

Screenshot 2022-01-08 6.44.51 PM.png

Oh my goodness!!! That purple is a T4! Not just any T4 either, but I have been quite intrigued by the Orc Healer tree for some time. I'm looking at that Magus with greed in my eyes and adventure in my soul! I'm loving the staff in one hand and a shield in the other! This is a healer who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty! I'm shaking with excitement on this pull, and I'm not sure if I'm going to sleep tonight! I also pulled a T3 Elf Sorcerer who is Fast and Studious! I am grateful for this pack and a bit overwhelmed. Most packs are ho-hum, but this is not one of them. These are cards I expect to play!

Dwarf Brute

The Sturdy and Tough Dwarf Brute is a T2 Warrior with 64 Physical Stat Points, 55 Mental Stat Points, and 56 Sensory Stat Points! This is a very physically tough warrior that is likely susceptible to any mental or sensory attacks, but in a physical v. physical encounter, 13 Might, 14 Vitality, and 13 Endurance will give him quite the edge. Perhaps a speedy high damage warrior would be able to outplay him, but he will slow an attacker down for a time. I'm pretty interested in this character tree, but probably less than a speedy attacker or the Dwarf Defender line.

Daemon Sage

The Wicked and Studious Daemon Sage is a T1 Mage with 59 Physical Stat Points, 60 Mental Stat Points, and 54 Sensory Stat Points. What stands out to me though is that 14 Intelligence is likely associated with damage, and then the pair of 13's in Vitality and Endurance provide Physical survival. This seems pretty well min/maxed for situations where you don't expect to face a lot of Mental or Sensory Damage. I don't know if this is a character tree that will see play, but it does intrigue me.

Elf Sage

The Fleet and Studious Elf Sage is a T1 Mage with 57 Physical Stat Points, 59 Mental Stat Points, and 58 Sensory Stat Points. Stats feel more all over the place than min/maxed at this stage, but as this character tree grows, the speedy mage archetype begins looking frightening. I am watching this character tree with gleeful expectation, and I hope to pull a T5 soon!!!

Giant Wanderer

The Massive and Agile Giant Wanderer is a T1 Hunter with 14 Might, 13 Vitality, and 13 Speed. I'm seeing a pretty decent spread between damage and Speed with just a little bit of vitality, but I fear the 10 Dexterity might be too much of a drawback for a Hunter. I am not overly optimistic, but I will reserve judgment till I see the cards in play!

Shadowborne Conscript

The Stealthy and Stalwart Shadowborne Conscript is a T1 Defender with 55 Physical Stat Points, 60 Mental Stat Points, and 58 Sensory Stat Points. I'm intrigued that it's a defender that's more mentally focused, so I suspect this class might do well against predominately mage teams. I am quite interested to see this character tree in play, but I fear it may be a niche use case that doesn't see play. I hope I'm wrong, and in so many games planned for the Astral Entities Universe, how could he possibly be bad in all of them? I'm cautiously optimistic!!!

Daemon Shaman

The Wicked and Studious Daemon Shaman is a T2 Mage with 60 Physical Stat Points, 61 Mental Stat Points, and 54 Sensory Stat Points. The 15 Intelligence is tantalizing to me, and the 13 Vitality and Endurance is exceptional for a mage. This is the T2 version of the Daemon Sage we looked at earlier, and you can see how that Intelligence stat seems to run away the higher tier you get. Tentatively excited.

Elf Sorcerer

The Fleet, Studious, and Learned Elf Sorcerer is a T3 Mage with 59 Physical Stat Points, 62 Mental Stat Points, and 58 Sensory Stat Points. 15 Intelligence and 13 Agility seems nice. I'm excited to see this card in action, and I am hopeful that it will perform well! Hitting hard and fast is the most effective mage archetype I can think of. Hope it plays as well as it looks!

Screenshot 2022-01-08 6.52.26 PM.png

Giant Tinker

As funny as the combination of Massive and Distracting is, I am skeptical of how this T1 Trickster will play in the games. 14 Might on a Trickster with no other stats to note is troubling, so I have a very hard time seeing this card played in any meaningful way. I could be wrong, but this card feels so wrong. I could end up eating my words though-- perhaps one of you reading today will call me out on it one day.

Screenshot 2022-01-08 6.51.35 PM.png

Shadowborne Sage

The Stealthy and Studious Shadowborne Sage is a T1 Mage with 54 Physical Stat Points, 62 Mental Stat Points, and 57 Sensory Stat Points. Her highest stats are 14 Perseverance and 13 Ego, and her weakest stats are 10 Might and 10 Luck. The character tree looks interesting-- perhaps she will be a strong defensive mage. I'm hopeful, but I don't think her odds of meta share are slim.

Screenshot 2022-01-08 6.49.07 PM.png

Magus

The Furious, Calming, and Wizened Magus is a T4 Orc Priest with 53 Physical Stat Points, 63 Mental Stat Points, and 61 Sensory Stat Points. I am quite intrigued by this card's 15 Wit and 13 Vitality, Intelligence, Charisma, Speed, Awareness, and Sprint. I'm very excited to see this card in action, and I'm optimistic. Time will tell. Time will tell. To the TARDIS!!!!!
