Daily Focus Chests: +12 Diamond | 91 Diamond Total

This is rather short today, is this it?

Almost skipped a day! It has been a very very busy day, I am still working on the battles, 8 chests accumulated so far.

The story today is... "So long my beloved PC"

Expecting the unexpected unexpected... It came early

I knew I should not have rebooted this old thing, but I wanted to troubleshoot and that did it in

I spent hours and hours setting up a new home server... to replace my oldest PC... Intel i7-3770. This PC has served me well for almost a decade! (Ivy Bridge, 22nm, and we are now at what? 3nm coming up?)

It started off as a mining PC right before ASIC was introduced and GPU mining migrated from BTC, to LTC / DOGE / and a bunch of shitcoins. Meanwhile it was an also an amazing and NOISY gaming rig. GPUs in those days were HOT and NOISY and SLI was actually a thing (although it's more trouble than its worth, and most games don't support it)

Original parts lost a long the way...

GPUs were the first to go, stock CPU fan was upgraded to keep it cool, case fans were replaced and upgraded, for the final old age RAM was upgraded to turn it into a home server with a bunch of old SSD and HDD

On its last leg
It has been having problem booting up, otherwise runs well. Memory is probably fried (it won't POST anymore) and it could be a cheap and easy swap... but based on today's standards, the power-performance ratio no longer justifies life extension, it's time

So long... You served me well.

The same case and PSU live on, and internal are all refreshed with modern components. Setting up a fresh system was pretty much my day, and it was all worth it.
