Did you know, rain breaks internet?

Well, that's my excuse anyways, the internet has been killing me these last few days, I phoned my ISP to ask what was happening, and they said they were aware of a faulty mast and would be fixing it..next month....so I guess for the next month my slothly internet continues to sloth things down!

Interestingly enough, trying to troubleshoot it for the last 6 months, switching it on and off, aahhh who's silly enough to fall for that one? Switching it off and then on, seems to give it a little juice to get going again...makes sense right! We could all be IT support with helpful hints like that!

Another thing I noticed, is I can predict when it's going to start raining because my internet will lag like a sloth climbing a tree just before it starts. Fair enough, the 10-second warning that it's about to rain doesn't really help me in any way shape or form, especially since 99% of the time I'm sitting inside at the laptop when this occurs! It's not like I get a message an hour in advance so I can get the dog out for a walk and back before it chucks it down!

I did a quick google, and it says yeah rain can affect the internet! Like wtf! Make something better! Rain can interfere with wireless signals and even the copper cables in the ground! Go figure! So, fibre is the only light at the end of the tunnel, not sure if that's a pun but we'll roll with it!

Well, you know what, that's my rant for the day! Hope everyone has an awesome weekend, I'm going to hit the send button and wait 10mins for this to go through! Fingers crossed it doesn't throw it back at me with an error like usual! Hopefully, by the time it's done my exchange will have gone through so I can throw some pennies into my bank account, cmon bulls hurry up and come back so we can all pretend we're rich again whilst not selling anything at the top! Of course, the bottom is the best time to sell! Just remember to buy all the way up to the top too!

Speaking of, I found a little number of funds hiding in one of my wallets, trying to decide whether to throw them all into Hive or not, well, is more likely I will throw them in, it's more a case of what to buy with them. Do I just get more Hive and give myself a power-up on the 1st, or do I spread them across some other passive earning/'income' tokens and hope the bulls pull all the hive projects up with their run which gives me 100s of chances at 100x?!?! Maybe I should stick them into HBD actually, I hadn't considered that until now! That could be the way to go!

Orrrrr maybe I should withdraw them right now, and buy myself Elon's Starlink! If only it wasn't £90 a month after set-up fees! Does anyone want to give me a business loan just to get my wifi working?

Sloth out!

I remember having issues with internet and rain when we lived in Oban when we had copper, before fibre came along. And it rained there all the bloody time !

The great Scottish weather is a nightmare for it too! I’m running off wireless so it’s “rain fog” or some shit (so Google says) hoping to see some improvement by the end of April, I got this month free at least!

Well, in Nigeria this is a norm 😅 For rain, I can tell it's about to rain when my cable doesn't get signal or when our electricity cuts. It's the standard here so nothing shocking.

I'd say move them to HBD savings, safest bet I think

I must be too used to things working, never noticed an issue with rain before until I moved further to the countryside! I learn something every day! Hopefully, you don't get too much rain! Wouldnt want your electricity going off too often! Off and on may be shocking!

Yeah it’s annoying how some of the services are unreliable when there’s a little bit of inclement weather lol.
