Sloth starts with nothing, gets to something and produces an interesting topic.

Something something post! My favourite!

5 mins, just get started, and write something!

Easy ways to start a post, write some words, they might not even make sense, but it creates the flow of focus.

Enable those dopamine receptors, I don't know, too many ADHD videos recently...

Do I have it? Should I get tested? That would mean overcoming the wall between me and making the phone call to begin the process...

I could break through the wall...but... anxiety, fear of rejection? Something is holding me back and breaking it down doesn't seem a viable option. I should just go around it....but every step I take brings more doubts and fears...is there an end to the wall?

I guess I can just freeze, sit here, and it will go away. Soon my youtube feed will change to something else that hooks my interest for a while, recently I've had amazon selling courses (yes, I did "set up" a store, buy supplies, start finding stock....then...left it all in a box.

Oh, then there was the Christianity phase on my youtube, thought I might be a Christian for a while, and started questioning all my beliefs, is the world millions or thousands of years old? God or evolution? Either way, ADHD videos popped up and here we are...

So..where were we, what was...oh yeah! Right, Sloth.Buzz. ADHD...Life...

I frequently get asked...but what is sloth.buzz.

How can sloths buzz? Well, I think everything above happens to fit perfectly, ADHD is a bunch of sloths, full of buzz! Procrastination becomes your friend, as you focus on a task which could be hours or days away.

You turn into a sloth, whilst buzzing constantly! Slothbuzz niche is whatever we're interested in right now. Music, memes, photos, all the little things that catch our attention or cause distraction! What will the content be like tomorrow who knows?

Maybe they'll even start accepting actifit posts one day and start an exercise club! The slothbuzz exercise club! It has a ring to it! Maybe some Yoga and stretching to begin! Do we just need a sensei? Yogi? Whatever a yoga master's title is... don't lead me down another youtube wormhole! I tried yoga once, the dog wouldn't leave me alone!

I had some notes...let me see what pile they're in...or not, found a bunch of other notes I need to follow up on though.

Basically, based on my super superior knowledge of everything ADHD, from a day's worth of Youtube videos. I'm all ram, with not much Harddrive, it makes even simple things like remembering what I'm supposed to be doing hard to remember or focus on. Got some words/stats to add to a text, no chance I'm remembering them! Even if I flip to another tab, like when writing curation reports, the author and titles are forgotten by the time I flick back to the main post. I can write Todo lists to envy todolisters! Then panic over all my todo's and procrastinate until I'm forced to achieve one of them! Not always the most urgent or important! Thinking of Mount and Glory now! Damn sloth brain!

Heck, I've got 8 tasks staring at me right now, and this isn't one of them! Plus I still have myself, the dog and the house to "look after". Clean, walk and feed! Try adding those tasks to your planner, and watch your head melt each day trying to work out how you have any time to do anything else!

image.png

What were the other things...ahh wish I had those notes, should/could probably go back and find the videos and...yeah already fed up with the videos, they're still playing as a write this post. I'm half listening, which is probably allowing me to keep some focus here. The latest one is about keeping a schedule, something I struggle with, not so much keeping it, it's writing it in the first place. It works great for a couple of days, then it becomes boring, then I get behind and I'm scared to catch up. Actually just had a thought, I tried a few of the gamification schedule apps, and I was actually fearing the sense of disappointment and rejection from that for not checking off daily tasks on time...damn. Even the things designed to help make it harder!

image.png

I need to try myself with timers, I actually thought about timing how long it took to produce an article, but I forgot, so maybe next time...if I remember! Then I can set timers for 5 minutes, or 30, or anything else I need to give me a sense of "hyper" focus that everyone so dreams of! Something with some music to keep other distractions at bay. I must admit, it's something I do find myself in phases of, but normally more related to gaming which isn't always super productive! Those dopamine receptors again!

Music, Timers, Gamification? Now that sounds like the perfect thing for a Sloth Buzzer...I wonder where CryptoRadio.fm is going...

Anyhoo, I think that's that, "5 min" writing? Freewriting? Sloth thought of the day. Who knows, time to make some memes and reread this 5 times and see if it makes sense!

Oh, footnote before I finish whatever I'm talking about...NOT A DOCTOR! Heck, might not even have ADHD or anything else, maybe I'm a hypochondriac. Maybe I'm looking for an excuse for being a lazy sloth!
