SLOTHERHOUSE! Die Slowly! Sloth watches!

Good morning buzzers! I've done it so you don't have to! SLOTHERHOUSE, the slow dripping glory house of sloth! I must admit, it's as bad as I thought it would be, but it's about a sloth so it's better than it should have been!

I HAD to watch it!

The film's premise is pretty simple and given away by the title, it's a Slotherhouse out there! This 'comedy/horror' film is worse than the trailer makes it look. Don't be fooled by the film's blurb.

"Emily Young, a senior, wants to be elected as her sorority's president. She adopts a cute sloth, thinking it can become the new mascot and help her win, until a string of fatalities implicate the sloth as the main suspect in the murders."

In true 'horror film' style, the film focuses on a group of teens, attending college and living their best lives. However, things take a turn when the main character Emily (Played by Lisa Ambalavanar) decides to run for house president and in turn looks to find something to skew the votes in her favour. Being a cute little sloth myself, I wholeheartedly agree a sloth is the perfect pet for the occasion! However things take a turn for the worse, as Emily doesn't happen upon a cute innocent sloth, but a murderous, high-speed, flying sloth? Just like your parents always warned you about!

The film shows us right from the outset the dangers of the ferocious sloth!

And things just seem to get worse from there, each and every death becomes more unrealistic and almost funny. You have to take this film with a pinch of salt, unlike the typical horrors this film is more in line with comedy films like scary movie. Taking the best and worst of the horror genre and making them a little more sloth!

I mean, not only does the sloth move with incredible speed, it seems to have the knowledge of how to use a computer, and even knows the effects of water and electricity mixing. In true comedy horror fashion, the sloth seems to take one hell of a beating whilst continuing its rampage through the sorority house.

The film is so bad it's almost good, I went into it with little expectation, other than seeing a sloth in a movie! For me that's a win, and if you go into it with the same expectation I'm sure you'll love it! I did miss some of the high-octane action whilst making some toast, but I can't imagine I missed anything too exciting. This is one to watch on a cold winter night when you've run out of other things to watch.

Check out the official trailer:

'Don't go back in there, it's a slotherhouse!'

The rotten tomato scores are on point for this movie, it's not the worst film you'll see this year, but it's definitely not the best, even if it does have a sloth in it! Watch the film for what it is, a sloth-infused horror and enjoy it! Just remember, maybe sloths really arent that slow, maybe they've just tricked us all!

Remember, Don't rush, Die slowly!

Seems I'm unable to upload images directly to @Cinetv, not sure if it's an issue with the website or something else. A bit of a pain when you 'have' to use Cine to earn the full potential of rewards, hopefully, the devs can look into it.

Sloth out!
