I admit that I am a bit of a sucker for old JCVD films. They are as funny as they are action-packed but it is a bit of a time machine because at the time that this was made he was one of the biggest stars in the world. I remember reading somewhere that he ended up being blacklisted and relegated to obscurity that he started demanding "Jim Carey" money for his films and he played hard ball when the studios refused. This resulted in Van Damme disappearing altogether.
