Last week was rough for me I pray this week should be nice to me and each and everyone of us. So guys I thought of sharing with you guys, how I made a coat collar on my vintage shirt,

actually this coat collar I tried making it before but I failed 😞 when I was done it wasn’t the way I wanted it to be so

I kept trying till I got it right so guys today I want to share shortly with you guys how I finically succeed in making the correct one.
Items I used:
* My red vintage material
* Collar gum
* A Matching red thread 🧵
Your surprised right? 😂 cause the items i used were just three(3) 😂 yes actually I used only those 3 items to complete the vintage shirt. This vintage shirt is very simple trust me ☺️😆 so clip tight your seat belt and relax while I take you through the processes on how I made my vintage shirt.

Firstly,
Just as have been explaining to you guys in my previous posts that the way we cut shirt is still the same we cut our kaftan top but just that in shirt there’s a little deferences and is that before you start drawing the measurement on the material after folding it into two, in shirt we do add 2inches first after folding it into two, we do add 2inches first then after that 2inches we then start there to take the body measurement and draw the cloth then cut it, but this kind of shirt is not the usual shirt neck we know and familiar with, in this kind of shirt we don’t put just 2inches before we start inches they do put more than 2inches, I personally put 4inches so when bending out the coat collar you won’t see any rough edges showing.so after putting the 4inches I started my measurement and cut.

Secondly,
After cutting, I joined the both shoulders, alone with the back part

4299FF38-0904-4313-BD27-07EDA027F17D.jpeg

and I top stitched thread at the top of it and I trimmed the shoulders and insert the sleeves and joined the body.

Thirdly,
I took my collar gum, my neck size is 15 so I took my collar gum fold it into two, half of 15 is 7.5inch,

so I skated 7.5 on the gun length and I too 3inch for the size then I gave it a half inches shaping then I cut it out and I gum it on my material and I sewed it

and I turn it after that I fixed it on the neck of my vintage shirt and my coat collar vintage shirt was ready and I was so happy that I got it right and correct this time.☺️😆

Thanks guys for giving me your time have a wonderful, blessed day and week !!!
