Hello all Splinterlands friends,
This is my entry for the Battle Mage Secrets challenge.
This week's theme is the Rise of the Commons ruleset, so I want to share a battle with it.

The battle ruleset

  • 41 mana cap - a low mana battle
  • Ruleset - Aim True and Raise of the Commons
  • Splinter - Fire/Water/Death and Dragon Splinter can be used in this battle

With these rulesets, I again chose to use Water Splinter in this battle. Because of Rise of the Commons, I cannot use my favorite monsters - Tide Biter and Musa Saline. However, it's a chance for me to use some Rare monsters that are under the dusk in my deck 😀

My lineup

SummonerKelya Frendul - additional speed and armor are essential in this battle to take the advantage in the game
1st positionDiemonshark - high armor, high speed with good health and attack. No one better than him in this position
2nd positionFlying Squid - it doesn't have Flying skill so I don't know why its name is Flying Squid. However, he has good damage and heath, with Reach ability so he deserves the 2nd position in this battle
3rd positionDeeplurker - one more melee monster. It has Opportunity so he can attack from any position.
4th positionRiverboat Captain - I don't use him so often. But Blast skill is a good skill to damage multiple targets
5th positionSwamp Spitter - a good range attack monster with the ability to repair armor for my monsters
6th positionPelacor Bandit - a quick monster to attack enemy from backline

  • My enemy also chose Water Splinter with Kelya Frendul and all the monsters are at cap level. Diemonshark, Flying Squid and Riverboat Captain are also in the lineup, same as mine. But the difference came from Venari Wavesmith, Merdhampir, and Supply Runner. They want to have 2 additional armors from Protect to protect the monsters better and 1 more speed from Swiffness to give the early attack.
  • In round 1, all the monsters delivered the attack but no monster was eliminated. All of them still stayed strongly on the battlefield.
  • In round 2, both Diemonshark were faded out after taking a lot of damage. In another hand, my Deeplurker could kill Venari Wavesmith. It was a good sign for me because magic attack is more challenging more my monsters. On another hand, enemy monsters didn't receive the additional armors from Protect anymore
  • My team started round 3 with 1 more monsters than my enemy. My monsters also had higher attack stats than the enemy team. So my team had more advantage and could seal the winning in round 6. At end game, my team still had 3 monsters on the battlefield.

That's all for now.
I hope you enjoy this battle and have a nice weekend!
