Sin embargo, en Venezuela no estamos peor que en Cuba. Allá tengo un amigo que me dice que tienen solo dos horas de luz eléctrica al día, entonces pienso en que hay unos "sándwich de basura" más sazonados que otros. Podríamos decir que el sándwich de Cuba es el "full", pues no solo lleva falta de luz eléctrica, sino también hambre, persecuciones y "discursos revolucionarios descompuestos" que lo que dan es náuseas.

Definitivamente, no tengo remedios, utilicé la metáfora de sándwich de basura para hablar de ciertos gobiernos, que ofrecen ser un "Sándwich apetitoso para que todos coman cuando tengan hambre" y luego lo que el pueblo recibe es un "sandwich de basura", y para colmo hay que pelear para darle una mordida y no morir de hambre.

Espero que nadie tenga en su menú este tipo de comida descompuesta ni de ideología perversa, que se aprovecha de las necesidades de las persoans para aplastarlas aún más de lo que están.

Well, I shouldn't talk about an "ordeal," but rather about "garbage sandwiches," although this life also has its share of garbage, and I eat it without complaint, because where can one complain about the inhumane life one leads?

However, in Venezuela we're not worse off than in Cuba. I have a friend there who tells me they only have two hours of electricity a day, so I think that some "garbage sandwiches" are more seasoned than others. We could say that the Cuban sandwich is the "full" version, since it not only includes a lack of electricity, but also hunger, persecution, and "corrupted revolutionary speeches" that are just nauseating.

I'm definitely out of options. I used the garbage sandwich metaphor to talk about certain governments that offer to be a "delicious sandwich for everyone to eat when they're hungry," but what the people actually receive is a "garbage sandwich," and to top it all off, you have to fight to get a bite and avoid starving.

I hope no one has this kind of rotten food or perverse ideology on their menu, one that takes advantage of people's needs to crush them even further.
