For many, magic attack cards are their favorite in Splinterlands and recently with the arrival of Riftwatchers new cards of this type are available for your battles. In this post I will talk about the Cabalist card that in addition to having magic attack also has incredible abilities.

But who is Cabalist and how can I get him in my battles?

To know the Cabalist I invite you to read his Lore, where you will find more information about the origin of the card.

To find your Lore you just need to go to collection or marketplace and look for the Cablist card filtering by: Edition - Riftwatchers / Rarity - Rare / Deck - Death. After that you will just need to go to Lore and read about its origins. I'll leave what's written in it to save your time in case you're curious to read.

When High Magus Obin Invaras betrayed the great council and joined with Silus, it split the order in two and caused a rift that might never mend. Obin cast out the temporal masters who remained loyal to the council and the Splinterlands, banishing them from the Temple of Time. Those who sided with the High Magus became known as anachron cabalists.

These cabalists expanded their studies to find new and diabolical means to bend time to their will. They can be a great boon on the fields of battle. However, they are incredibly vulnerable when working their magic, and a dead wizard is not used to anyone.

Knowing Lore you will know the origins of the Cabalist, but what do you need to do to have him in your battles?

To purchase this card there are 3 options. You can buy it on Marketplace, you can rent it on Marketplace or you can buy Riftwatchers packs and try your luck.

In the first option, which is to buy on the Marketplace, you just need to follow the steps I mentioned before, filtering by Edition - Riftwatchers / Rarity - Rare / Deck - Death. After that, go to the For Sale part and select the amount of cards you want to buy.

The current price of Cabalist (1 BCX) is $0.77 on the Splinterlands marketplace.

The second option is to rent the card and for that you will need to follow the same steps as the first option but instead of going to For Sale you will click on For Rent and select the level of the card you want to rent.

The rental price can vary widely, but it currently costs 0.10 DEC to rent Cabalist at level 1.

The third and final option is to buy Riftwatchers packs and try your luck. To buy the packages you just need to go to Shop and then to GEMS.

After doing this you will only need to go down and select the number of packages you want to buy. In the case of Riftwatchers each package costs 5$ in SPS and 1 Voucher.

Once you have the packages you will only need to go to Open and Open your packages. Each Riftwatcher pack grants you at least 1 rare or higher rarity card, so your chances of getting a Cabalist aren't too low, but you'll need to count on the luck factor.

With this information you know the origin of the Cabalist and how to get it, now let's look at the card's statistics to find out what its uses will be in battle.

To find the stats you will need to follow the same steps I mentioned earlier looking for the card in the marketplace or in the collection and go to STATS.

These are the statistics of the Cabalist card. As you can see his attack is magic type as I mentioned before and he has 3 abilities. Its mana cost is 7 and what stands out most about it is its attack and abilities that I will explain.

Enable Level 1

The first ability is Amplify. Amplify is a ability that will do the damage done by Magic Reflect, Return Fire and Thorns abilities at +1, this ability will only be useful when you have one or more cards that have one of these abilities and the Amplify effect will only work while the Cabalist is in battle.

Enable Level 3

The second ability is the Giant Killer. The Giant Killer is an ability that causes the card that has it to do double damage against cards with 10 or more mana. With the arrival of Riftwatchers, cards with this amount of mana are not very difficult to have in battles, so have no doubt that it will be useful, especially in battles where the available mana is high.

Enable Level 6

The third ability is Demoralize. Demoralize is a debuff-type ability and it will decrease the melee attack of your opponent's cards by 1 while the Cabalist is in battle. This is a great way to lessen the damage your opponent's cards can do.

With this information you can understand the usefulness of the Cabalist in battles. In my opinion it's an excellent card and a great addition to the death deck because that cards with magic attack are always welcome and his Amplify ability will also be very useful since in this there are great cards with abilities that will benefit from them, in addition he will not be defeated so easily and will also cause a great debuff on your opponents .

Its current price is a little high for a newly arrived card and the pack isn't cheap either, but it's a great card to have in battles and I believe it will give you great victories. Just remembering that this is not an investment tip.
