this is a festival celebrate by the Eastern part of Nigeria (Igbo) during this festival people come from far and near to celebrate this festival. The take there God (chi) for a fruit year, during the festival people dance, merry and thank their God. During this festival everybody is expected to be in the king's palace for the celebration of the new yam, the wives will roast the yam and make sauce for it, then the king will cut the yam and eat some piece in the present of his people then the chief will follow after that the people

will start eating yam. A really eastern man(Igbo man) can't eat yam without his community celebrating the new yam festival.
Some of the activities that is perform during the festival

• Group of people dancing
• Wrestling
• Drama etc.
