THE FOREST IN THE SUN

In photography, lighting decides a lot. In nature, this is the sun. Without it, bright autumn colors become dull, inexpressive. And if it starts to rain, or the first snowflakes fly by, then the picture of nature becomes sad, dreary. People experience the same.

But as soon as the sun appears, even if you light a tree with one ray, and immediately the picture of the forest is transformed, saturated with color, light and contrast.

Photographers and painters always use the play of lights and shadows. If there is no natural light, then they try to create it artificially. With the forest, everything is more complicated. It is impossible to illuminate the forest with a flashlight. The only option is that we need to catch natural light, that is, the sun's rays. Or we have to bring a lot of powerful spotlights :-))) I'm glad I didn't need spotlights when I photographed the forest.

The forest also looks interesting in contrast – the trees illuminated from the side against the background thick dark clouds. And the darker the cloud, the more interesting the result. However, against the background of a rich blue sky, glowing yellow also looks interesting.

Perhaps, the more contrasting spots in the photo, the more interesting the frame. The same goes for the artistic canvas. And our view of the picture of nature.

I am sure that walking in the autumn forest, especially when lit by the sun, has a positive effect on a person. And not only because of physical activity and oxygen saturation of the lungs. But also because of aesthetic pleasure. Contemplation of nature, its magnificent paintings, calms and gives strength.
