The Angel house
It may not be visible, but the terrace of this house is decorated with angels' heads. How beautiful, how sweet, you would say. An interesting decoration, maybe I haven't seen anything like it before, maybe not in this way, not exactly on the terrace.
The houses, especially the rich ones, have various stuccoworks, various images, men and women, all related rather to mythology, all carrying a certain symbolic meaning. Just like here.
I would rather say that one should not experiment too much with religious images. Yes, cherubs are perhaps, I'm just saying perhaps, the most innocent, the best, the safest of such images. But still.

I find this old architectural decorations rather beautiful and I suppose it was designed as a form of protection from the evil forces too? ;)

Yes, that's right, but the interesting thing about people is that they often put ominous images above their doors, which also serve to protect the house. Weird logic. Perhaps because no one really knows for sure which creatures are actually good and which are bad, and how they can be properly used by humans (if they can be used at all)...
Some are definitely shape-shifters, lol.
That's just thinking proactively, dealing with evil in advance.
Elders knew better, we should listen to them!
I'm sure all these things are written down somewhere. But we humans like to deceive ourselves, to change the essence of things on purpose, because it is more convenient for us or serves us some purposes. Also, some things I think are deliberately made and presented to us in this confusing way - beautiful and kind beings whose nature is disputed, or beings to whom an evil essence is attributed, but this is perhaps simply wrong, again because the warped human mind…
