FungiFriday - Park Fungi
It's Friday again, yeaah 🥳
And this time I will not miss the day for posting in this wonderful community :)
So, I was recently out for a walk in the park.
There was everything there that day - sun, piles of garbage (which is completely normal and standard view for a settlement in Bulgaria), autumn-winter atmosphere with dead nature, ruins of long-abandoned buildings (also completely typical of a Bulgarian town) ...
But do you know what dominated this walk in the park for me?
These were the fungi - all kinds of wild, tree and soil fungi.
All kinds of shapes and colors...
I am not yet a connoisseur of these plants, but they definitely manage to attract my attention with their incredible diversity, amazing places of growth and special life.
So in time, I hope to learn to recognize their species.
This is my contribution to #FungiFriday by @ewkaw.
Have an amazing rest of the day! 🍄☀️

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
Those first ones look gigantic! Did you touch them? The sponge on the bottom looks so soft (probably isn't though).
I told @buffalobison a while ago to make the names up if he doesn't know what they are :D

They were very hard, the first ones. So hard that I even wondered if they were just some growths from the tree itself, not mushrooms.
Yet, it is clear that these are mushrooms. 🙂
Well, I don't have enough imagination to make up names, but I deliberately put these two of the last photos, which look like the end of a trunk or a snout. I'm not sure that this is really some kind of mushroom on this branch, but I decided to show it because I found it interesting.
Thank you, @ewkaw!
Regards
I have no idea :D I am a complete noob if it comes to ID mushrooms. But it could be.
@sketch.and.jam do you know what it?
It is a mushroom, they call it crust fungi it belongs to a family of fungi called Corticioid.
Thank you very much for your useful information, @sketch.and.jam! I was almost sure this was a mushroom.... 😊 well, not exactly 🙃
Some of these crust fungi have bright colors that you can extract and use for dying fabric. I suppose this one could be used to make a brownish dye.
When in doubt write your own narrative haha
I'm trying to do exactly this 😊
I see you have one of those wavy fungi too. I have a lot of pictures of these ones.
Your last photo looks like a hoof, I know all about them 😀
Happy #fungifriday!
I saw yours. 🙂 They are different, yet very beautiful. I must say, I really like those type of fungi. I find them a bit alien 😄
What do you mean about the hoof? Do you really know what this is?
Happy #fungifriday to you too!
