Messages from the photographed sites

I'm sure we all have photos like that - the ones where you tried to capture something and it just didn't work out. There you go. The place, the subject, has said to you: You will not photograph me, you stranger.
Here is the moment when it, the place, the object, breaks. Error. Bad luck. And you just happened to fall there at that moment. You're the unlucky one.

And that cracking, breaking, bad luck is just a moment of adjustment. It's like when a model doesn't want to be photographed and feels uncomfortable about it. But he/she smiles nonetheless. And yet, for a brief moment, for a split second, the camera captures something - anger, annoyance, sadness even. Then everything continues as before, the model smiles again, everything is fine. But this sad picture, a breach in the system, you only notice when you get home.
It's part of the game.

A game that sends you the following message: "Come back another time, stranger, and try to take pictures again, maybe I'll be in a good mood then."💃

Or: "Go home, stranger, and don't ever come back here trying to take your stupid pictures again" 😃📷⛪️

Hive.jpgSoul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.

The best moment is always now... Just IMHO :)

That's because there simply isn't, and perhaps never will be, another moment. When I'm somewhere, I never act as if I don't care what pictures I will take or whether I will take pictures at all, because I'll be back. I may never return to this place. And even if I come back, everything will be different, that's clear.

Yes, perfectly said.
That 4th dimension, called Time. Our ignorance to the other dimensions too.
