Koi Fish illustration - Ilustración de Pez Koi
My artistic name is Saundino and I am a musician and graphic designer and I also develop the area of illustration and I am to say somehow a great tattoo enthusiast some time ago I bought some tattoo machines and I used them for a while, but between work obligations and musical obligations I had very little time to devote to this art as respectable as the art of tattooing and I decided to sell my machines, I hope soon to have the time to resume it. I have many friends in the tattoo world and some of them have encouraged me to take it up again and I will see what the future holds.
Hola Hivers de la comunidad Sketchbook, en esta oportunidad quiero mostrarles esta ilustración que hice a mano tratando de alcanzar de alguna manera ese estilo ilustrativo y de dibujo utilizado en el tatuaje neotradicional donde el color tiene un papel representativo y las formas son más pronunciadas, las líneas y los contornos tienen mucha fuerza y por lo general las temáticas están relacionadas con las temáticas del tatuaje tradicional tanto oriental como occidental.
Mi nombre artístico es Saundino y soy músico y diseñador gráfico además desarrollo el área de la ilustración y soy por decirlo de alguna manera un gran entusiasta del tatuaje hace algún tiempo compré unas máquinas de tatuaje y las usé durante un tiempo, pero entre obligaciones de trabajo y las obligaciones musicales me quedaba muy poco tiempo para dedicarle a este arte tan respetable como es el arte del tatuaje y decidí vender mis maquinas, espero pronto contar con el tiempo para retomarlo. Tengo muchos amigos en el mundo del tatuaje y algunos de ellos me han incentivado a retomarlo ya veré que depara el futuro.
As for the materials and the process of elaboration of my illustration, first I did the whole sketch of my drawing in pencil and then with black markers of different thicknesses I outlined all the lines taking care of the finish and style of each one of them.
En cuanto a los materiales y el proceso de elaboración de mi ilustración primero hice todo el boceto de mi dibujo a lápiz y luego con marcadores negros de diferentes grosores pase a contornear todas las líneas cuidando el acabado y el estilo de cada una de estas.
After this, I erased the lines of the sketch so that only the outline of my illustration was left in marker so that I could add the color, first to the koi fish and then to the lotus flowers and other complementary elements, the colors I used were simple crayons for school use.
Luego de esto pasé a borrar las líneas del boceto de manera que quedara únicamente el trazado de mi ilustración a marcador para poder de esa manera agregar el color, primero al pez koi y luego a las flores de loto y demás elementos complementarios, los colores que utilicé fueron simples creyones de uso escolar.
Koi fish: This is the main element of the composition and is located in the center, it is a very important element for Japanese culture as it represents good fortune in areas of life such as business or as studies, It also represents strength and perseverance because of many legends and stories that exist related to this element there is one that tells how a small blue koi fish went through the portal of the dragon, a huge waterfall that divided the rivers of heaven and earth and became a dragon fish even though during his old age everyone doubted him but it was thanks to his perseverance that he achieved his goal.
Pez Koi: Este es el elemento principal de la composición y se encuentra situado en el centro, es un elemento muy importante para la cultura Japonesa ya que representa buena fortuna en áreas de la vida como los negocios o como los estudios, además representa fortaleza y perseverancia pues de muchas leyendas e historias que existen relacionadas con este elemento existe una que cuenta como un pequeño pez koi azul atravesó el portal del dragón una enorme cascada que dividía los ríos del cielo y de la tierra y se convirtió en un pez dragón a pesar de que durante su vieja todos dudaron de él pero fue gracias a su perseverancia que logró su meta.
Lotus flower: This element is located at the top and bottom of the illustration. This element is directly related to Buddhism and the purity of matter and spirit because the lotus flower that blooms in the adversity of the mud always shines in search of light.
Waves: The waves also for the oriental cultures represent the natural force, the wave especially for the culture in Japan is inspired by a very representative print called The great wave of Kanagawa made by the artist Katsushika Hokusai.
Flor de loto: Este elemento se encuentra ubicado en la parte superior y en la parte inferior de la ilustración. Este elemento está directamente relacionado al budismo y a la pureza de la materia y del espíritu pues la flor de loto que florece en la adversidad del lodo resplandece siempre en busca de la luz.
Olas: Las olas también para las culturas orientales representan la fuerza natural, la ola en especial para la cultura en Japón se inspira en una estampa muy representativa llamada La gran ola de Kanagawa realizada por el artista Katsushika Hokusai.
The ornamental flowers and the lines representing water were placed in different parts of the composition, these would be secondary elements of the illustration but very important just the same.
Las Flores ornamentales y las líneas que representan el agua fueron colocadas en distintas partes de la composición estos serían elementos secundarios de la ilustración pero muy importantes de igual forma.
