Hello my dear readers of the family-friends community and I want to share with you a little bit about my love for my mother and my beautiful memories of Mother's Day celebrations, for me, a mother's love is one of the strongest and most lasting bonds that someone can have in their life, during my childhood, my mother was always the primary care figure and had a significant influence in my emotional and social development (and although not everything is good my mother gave me many nice memories).

I have always been a very lonely person since I was a child, so the holidays were very important to me, even though I was always studying or working, I found a moment to share with my family and my husband when we were engaged, my mother, although she was busy for her profession, always took care of us and overprotected us (the latter in excess), she does not like photos, or parties, but we always surprised her with small details that meant a lot to us.

I remember that during my childhood, this day was a special occasion in which all my family gathered to spend time together, I always enjoyed the activities at school and participated in them with much enthusiasm, a very beautiful memory that I still have in my mind is when I sang a song on the school stage: "Madrecita del alma querida", I remember that all the mothers present were crying and at a certain moment I could not finish the song, so I got off the stage to hug my mom, the director took the microphone and said that I was a very sensitive girl.

I also remember plucking flowers from the garden when I was little because I did not have to bring a bouquet of flowers to my mom and one day the neighbor was upset because I plucked her favorite flowers, but I just wanted to surprise her, hahaha, my family is originally from a town called Machiques de Perijá, Zulia state, in its western part, it is border with Norte de Santander, Colombia, the main economic activity is based on the dairy industry: milk, cheese, cream, cream, butter, and of course, livestock, with all this, I understand that these parties were completely family barbecues and with large families, in these celebrations, all family members are accustomed to share the cost of food, drinks, cakes and gifts.

They prepare to make great barbecues, bring mariachis, tell stories and laugh and cook the men, because family parties have always been an opportunity to strengthen family relationships, especially among those who do not see each other often due to distance or other commitments, cousins studying each one in their own world, but at parties we hug, we laugh, we remember so many things, always from the past, but in this present I feel so far away, to tell the truth, my paternal family is no longer the same, we are divided: most are in the U.S. and here only my grandmother who is a widow for more than a decade, my parents and my sisters, all my uncles and aunts are out of the country with their families, all my uncles and aunts are out of the country with their families.

So for me this is a day to honor and thank the person who has been there for us through good times and bad, through successes and failures, and to show how much we value their unconditional love and care, even though my paternal family is now scattered and reunions have become more difficult to organize, I still try to keep alive the tradition of celebrating my mother on Mother's Day, whether we are together for lunch at grandma's house or at my mom's house, I always try to let her know how much I love and appreciate them for all they have done for me.

For me, Mother's Day has always been an opportunity to gather with my family, enjoy pleasant moments and honor my mother, although circumstances have changed, I still value the importance of this holiday and my mother's presence in my life and of course now that I am a new mom I begin to understand my mother's every pain.

I have never really celebrated Mother's Day like this or seen anyone. this is like a first for me. Although, during mother's day, I make the time to call my mother to wish her happy mother's day.
