Dear friends, once again here in the weekend-engagement in week 144, this week this topic caught my attention and it was even part of the process.

Meet the meat
If a law was passed that people had to kill and process their own meat for consumption (or not be able to eat it at all), would you do it or simply stop eating meat? (I mean animals, including fish). Explain your answer in at least 300 words and use images you took yourself if possible.

If a law is created that you must process or raise your animals for your own consumption for me it is already customary, first of all I raise dairy goats, I have more than 5 years that I do not buy powdered milk in the supermarket, as a first example. Although I have not had the opportunity to eat one of my goats this year I do have it in the plans since I am fattening two males that will not serve me because I already have a stud.

On the other hand, my grandfather came from the countryside and I grew up with the habit of raising pigs to eat during the holidays in December, and I have already put it into practice several times.

Last year more or less at the end of the first quarter of the year I bought a piglet with the intention of making it adult and make a breeding foot to sell the piglets that were born of it, but reaching its time of maturity the space that I conditioned was not enough for my purpose and the festive dates were coming and I decided to eat it.

But as I said it is not difficult at all for me not to be attached to animals and always be grateful for the food they can provide us with because thanks to our work and their lives we can feed our families.

The advantage that I see that raising the animals that we are going to eat is that they come without so many chemicals that accelerate their growth that in the end do damage, for example this sow was very little fat that had what is healthier for consumption, another advantage that brings raising animals for consumption is saving money because you save several intermediaries that raise the price of the product to the market.

For example the photo that I will place below may be that if I go to the market I spend a good amount of $ but as I had it at home one can give certain tastes.
