Greetings,

Dear friends, a few days ago I showed you The Bicentennial Park in the city of La Victoria, Venezuela.

Today I come to share with you the second part which is about the mountain area that the park has, it is a quite demanding sport and recreation route, it has a stretch of concrete road of more than 1km but with significant elevation which makes it ideal for quite demanding cardiovascular workouts.

At the top is a kind of museum but because of the time it was closed, it is also a government area for events and military events on patriotic dates, from the top you can see the city in almost its entirety, as well as the neighboring town El Consejo which is where I live.

The road is a steady climb with some sections more demanding than others, it also has an area of sand to avoid the rebound of the concrete, this particular one I use it going down so I affect less my knees with the impact.

When you get to the top where once a Venezuelan flag was raised, they made a monument with monoliths and is the lookout area, with top quality finishes on the floor and handrail.

A few meters further up the concrete road ends with access to the museum, a children's playground, the park rangers' headquarters and a heliport.

But if we continue advancing we find a path that users created is dirt and is in contact with nature that leads to two more viewpoints and where you can really breathe nature, that characteristic smell of flowers and fresh grass.

Returning to the monoliths although in the image is not well appreciated has a recreation of the battle of youth on a plaque, this on the occasion of the heroic of the city and its importance in the independence of the country.

This park as I mentioned before has a connection to the bicentennial park which is below on the flat part from the middle of the trail you can see the entire park in one view.

IMG_20231123_075055_720.jpg

The park has many hiking trail connections created by the same users but I have not yet traveled, also if we continue advancing through the viewpoints that I mentioned above is connected by a road that leads to an agricultural village called Las Guacamayas.

To climb this monument you only have access by bicycle or walking because the vehicular passage is restricted, according to the sports application that I use for my routines the park has an elevation of 141 meters up to the second viewpoint that I have reached.

This sacrifice is really worth it because when you get to the top you disconnect from the world, enjoy nature and appreciate the city in its entirety, you also appreciate part of the regional highway of the center, a very important road artery of the country.

Without much more to contribute of this wonderful place I say goodbye to you until a next installment.

Saludos,

Hello @soychalbed what a nice coincidence to see you in the community, I have not been to that place, but for a long time I want to know it and thanks to your publication I have an idea of what I will find, I did not know that up there was a museum or that they had removed the flags, hopefully to wash them or change them for new ones, the pictures with the flags looked nice.

You made a very complete post with good details, congratulations, excellent publication, thank you.

Thanks for the visit, when you want you come and we go up and I make you a tour guide for the city has a lot to do content hehehehe.

The flags are placed at necessary times, the flag that I say that was removed was the original before they built the park, if I get the photo I have about 11 years ago I send it to you.
